History and biography
Steve was born in England in July 1955. After leaving the army at twenty, Steve found his first astrological book in 1980 and then spent years learning astrological basics. He is totally self taught. Over the next twenty years, he expanded his ability by doing 7,000 + chart readings.
In 1994, after many years working at the Glastonbury Festival Green Fields, Steve was a founding member of the Big Green Gathering and is a current director of that company, as well as a director of the not for profit production company that is staging the 2011 Green Gathering - here.
Since 1998, Steve has increased his astrological career exponentially, starting when he began work for the astrological phone lines. He has written many times in the national press in the Daily Mirror and the Daily Mail. During 1999/00 Steve worked as a real-time internet astrological consultant for World International Television. He now works solely for himself.
In the last ten years, Steve's number of consultations has increased. He has records of over 30,000 horoscopic readings, with a loyal client base, many of whom return for monthly/yearly updates.
Steve has considerable media experience on local radio and TV and has appeared on national TV.. His 'alter ego' or 'evil twin brother', sometimes known as 'The Caustic Astrologer', periodically surfaces through different of web based media, from blog talk radio to internet radio, web TV and live streaming. His monthly free webcasts are a feature in You Tube. He has his own brand of idiosyncracies which endear him to his many clients and fans, which coupled with his bohemian and sometimes direct attitude makes him a unique individual and a powerful astrologer.
In July 2005 Steve was awarded the Master of Arts Degree in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at the Sophia Centre, Bath Spa University. He now has an office in Walcot Street, in Bath, the only astrologer in the UK to have a drop in practice.
Philosophy
Steve would be happy in a caravan in the woods - in other words he has uncomplicated lifestyle needs/wants based on green philosophies, such as there is enough in the world for need but not greed. Money is therefore not a motivating force (apart, of course, from being able to live) for him. Money is a tool for him with which to change the world for the better. He feels that he is 'on a mission' and has volunteered to come on planet to help effect a necessary change in consciousness. The planet is about to take an evolutionary leap which only those who are prepared can take. He is here to catalyse and help people - "to empower people to think for themselves". His method is Astrology and he wants to reach out to as many people as possible to prepare them. The planet is seriously sick, its energy patterns are misaligned, which affects the natural dance of the solar system and beyond. These can be strange concepts to many, but have their foundation in matter/energy science, eschatology and quantum/complexity theory.
He has the support and backing of many people at a grass roots level through green and environmental connections, people who share his ideas, and people who have given him resources of all kinds as and when needed - "the universe provides" - and the universe leads him in the direction and towards those who can help him achieve his aims. This is part of his understanding of how things work.
In terms of Steve's value to humankind, he is helping people to become "response able", to move out of the matrix, to become free thinkers and to enable change to new positive ways of living, being and more. One key way of working with this philosophy is activating the principle of faith and trust. Much of his Astrology work has been based on ability to pay, or for donation, and it has only been recently, when he has moved out from within the green community, that reluctantly more business like methods have been adopted. He is committed to Green ways of working and sees his future as being involved in non-profit making companies/companies who give/share profits to specified green organisations.
