7th July 2009

Written an hour before full Moon.  The theory says that this full Moon, sextiling and trining Saturn, should be a time of consolidation, reformation and the bringing of both professional opportunity and emotional reliability, with the middle course in all options being the productive one.  However, the last four days I've heard so many stories of woe that I can't help but conclude that a lot of very hard choices need to be made - but that those choices are relative.  I've heard from someone on the point of breakdown because their property portfolio (8 houses) is not making ‘enough' money, from someone who's partner is leaving because he works all day and night but still doesn't make enough money, from someone worried that they can't afford to cater for their child's luxuries over the summer holidays, from small businesses going under for the lack of a few hundred pounds (scarily close to home that one!), and from those who really don't know whether they can afford to eat tomorrow.  The last three months have been the opportunity for the bankers and to a lesser extent the politicians to recant, change their habits and be welcomed back into community.  They've chosen, through ignorance and greed, to continue the ways of Mammon and bleed the rest of us dry.  And in my twenty nine years of doing horoscopes, I've seen a full Saturn cycle.  These vampires on the rest of us will die a fearful and lonely death, and if reincarnation exists (like angels, conveniently unprovable) they're going to have to keep coming back and doing it again and again until they get it right - a kind of permanent groundhog day.  Sod that for a laugh, I want to get it right first time, so come what may I shall continue to reach out and embrace the world, nature, community, spirituality and femininity, because if these things are not part of the human future, what kind of future will it be?  If I'm kidding myself, at least I'm happy in my naivety.  And they keep coming, here's the best yet, the crown of creation.

Its hard to be patient... after all the news that has broken, how can things just carry on in the same ways? ....we know that justice is rarely swift, but it does feel a bit disappointing ...have to try and trust that change will come, and slowly....in a saturnine way...

So is the message that there are more important things than money? Or should those with more money spend it,as there seems to be a shortage, because the banks are hoarding it?Do perceptions need to change? What happens when a very large number of people default on their debts?

Better to be happy and naive than live in fear and be a slave to the system Steve. I'm with you as are many many more on that one. As for the last comment about people defaulting on their debts then I think we shall be seeing the result a lot sooner than we think! If you want to do it lawfully then I can personally recommend getoutofdebtfree.org. What irks me is that so many people are suffering at the expense of our financial system when really they've no need.

I think that it is time to engage. If we want change, we will have to make it happen. This means that we have to stand up and make sure our voices are heard by any means possible. Go to your MP regardless if they are liberals, conservatives or labour or green .... Protest that radical changes are required e.g. why should the bonus culture continue to prevail in the financial system (it is being rescued under our very eyes)... WHY? We want it to stop... WE have to demand change. We have to impress that we will not tolerate from ANY government that they continue to support financial capital as the driving force of our economies... Quangos... they are all dubbing into the story of the Quangos... What are we doing tolerating that these politicians play around with the gravity of the situation we face. WE... Please make your voices heard by any means possible.. think about it and then speak... I am doing my best and will continue to do so. Best wishes to all

Let's hear it for the person standing next to us. If the individual is naive, so be it. I'm naive, too. I also pray. The fact that we continue to bail out individuals whose inept behavior on the job and their greed has provided us with this mess is just unbelievable; let's just boot them out. It's getting worse. People who have worked all their lives, lived decently and cared for others just shouldn't be suffering as they are. We all have to VOTE!

You can't kill the spirit. Even in the darkest of times, anyone that tried would be able to find the tiniest spark of light inside. And that spark can always be expanded. Never ever give up & always keep on believing. You speak the truth Steve, which is why I read your site.

Hi Steve, we met at the MBS fair in Poynton, and I had a reading with you not long after. You said that you saw no rugs being pulled from under me for the rest of this year - well I just lost my corporate contract, had an email on July 7th 6 years to the day that I started working in the treatment room there. Someone said recently that out of the ashes rose Phoenix.... I have a major event on this weekend, one of a team of 18 therapists massaging rugby players at a big event, and my birthday is July 22nd. I have always thought that I was being looked after and things landed in my lap right when I needed it. If there was ever a time I needed something good to happen - it is now! I feel passionate about what I do, hard to look after people though when your own world is crashing down around you! I love reading your blogs. Good to have met you x
