12th July 2009

It's weekend, only the regulars are looking, so I can ramble safely...  Continuation of yesterday.  As I theorised yesterday, I choose to believe that Earth interacts with us subtly through landscape and our perception of it to a far greater degree than we suspect.  If that is so, then we (humanity) become the interface between heaven and earth, the nanobots of evolution, stuck in this thin membrane of life between the dark void and the gross material.  To quote (here) McKenna, ‘Human history represents such a radical break with the natural systems of biological organization that preceded it, that it must be the response to a kind of attractor, or dwell point that lies ahead in the temporal dimensions'.  But the difference between us and other forms of life is that we can anticipate futures, predict, hope, laugh and love in a way that no other species seems to do (apart, possibly, from cats...).  And this gives us an edge, a way out of the normal into a higher consciousness, into the mystery of the new future.  Be sure that the planets have their own long term interest in their evolution and cycles, but the Earth is compassionate, she gives a chance.  The future is in the imagination, it's only through the letting go of greed, profit, racism, sexism, ridicule, anger and martyrdom that we can really emerge into the ‘promised land'.  And this is not just me rambling!  The acceleration of population, technology and spirituality over recent decades has pushed us ever faster, to the omega point awaiting us within the lifetimes of ninety percent of those reading this.  McKenna again:  ‘If the truth can be told so it can be believed, it will be understood'.  Ramble off......

Very interesting. Enjoyed your rambles! Everyone should have a look at the McKenna Utube offering. It can also be found with the lyrics on screen which possibly make it more understandable when the music is too intense. Love from One Of The Weekend Crowd.

Have you thought of writing a book Steve? I just wonder how the majority are going to reach this omega point driving around in their tin boxes and thinking only of themselves? What would make humanity sit up and listen enough to make a difference? I am not sure even their own extinction would make some people change their ways and let go of the things you mention. There has to be a better way and I for one hope it comes sooner rather than later.

I'm sure I'm one of your older readers, Steve. I am also a Christian and a Yankee; therefore, I will defend to the death what you wish to believe. I think it comes with the years. I was once at your stage in life and now am at the stage where I begin worrying about the health of family members. How will I manage to take care of them? Just keep writing.

Love where you're going with this! Keep it up! And you're right. The job of the shaman was to observe, read and interpret the messages from nature and the spiritual realm. Becoming aware that there is living consciousness outside ourselves. We can then cross the veil with reverence and honour having no thought for greed, corruption or other agenda because they block our passage. Keep rambling, Steve!

Technology! Hmmmm... Switched on my computer today first thing, and was rudely awakened from my befuddled state by what souned like an air raid siren It was a Trojan infection on the computer..My greatest knowledge of Trojans(I am vaguely aware they are serious computer viruses)is to do with the Greek Trojan wars! The rate that technology has advanced in our life time is incredible- faster and faster... but where is it all leading? Our beautiful earth- can't wait to get back camping and backpacking again and reconnect with nature...the sound of the owl on the edge of dark, the moon, wild flowers, trees we are blessed with so much..... Spirituality-whilst I don't necessarily believe in little green men, I have absolutely no doubt of the existence of other dimensions;and there has to be other intelligent life out there.... Anyway off to stock up on healthy food to prevent swine flu...have been putting garlic and ginger in curries, eating kiwi fruit- anyone else got any tips?

I don't believe the swine flu hype. Fear is a big killer, along with medical mistakes. From my research it looks to me that swine flu is an excuse to mass vaccinate, which is linked to bioterrorism in my opinion. But hey, do your own research, I promote informed opinion and choices.

Hey to the above. Kindly explain what are these informed opinions and choices? I agree totally- this has to be bio-terroism. I believe this has been started deliberately by the drugs manufacturers to get rid of stockpiled avian flu vaccine-(and make millions) which was never used when avian flu failed to become a pandemic. However it is starting to affect a huge number of people in the UK, so isn't the old saying "Prevention is better than cure"- sensible? I for one will be following the advice in the article above,(thank you Steve for this)as well as eating healthily, washing hands etc,and am also advising my family to take sensible precautions.Oh as I write, two more people in the UK have just died...

Another thought for the person who wrote about the "Informed opinions and choices". How can you know the outcome of this swine flu outbreak unless of course you are a)God -or a superior intelligence b)An astrologer,c)Someone who can predict the future?
