Neptune is a planet covered in methane clouds, a gas giant that we can never really know all about.  It obscures, eludes and evades, as well as bringing spirituality, aestheticism and compassion.  In Aquarius, the sign of humanity and community from 1998 to 2012, I have associated Neptune here with oil and the ongoing warfare in the Middle East as well as the dissolving of orthodox religious attitudes and the rise of spirituality and environmental concerns.  I also find that a difficultly placed Neptune in one's horoscope shows a preponderance towards getting bunged up, a slightly higher than normal vulnerability to toxins, poisons and virals, and a tendency to get one's own psychic space invaded regularly.  Now, of course, both Jupiter and Chiron are together with Neptune, really upping its potential effects... - more tomorrow or perhaps later....  LATER  In the future, Neptune in Aquarius will be associated with the poisoning of the environment, whether it is through radio waves, car exhausts, cows farting, nuclear and coal power, plane emissions, virals and toxins, landfill or psychic space invasion.  With the current conjunction of Neptune to both Jupiter and Chiron, all of the above is in the mix to a larger degree than usual.  Chiron, with its 51/2 year orbit, was last in this position in the heavens in 1957/8, the time of the last severe flu outbreak that took the young as opposed to the old.  Remember - Neptune illudes.  This hype and spin is not real, it is nebulous in terms of origin, treatment and outcome.  it is nowhere near as big as it is being made out to be, and that's from a clear astrological perspective.  Dont buy into the fear, and make your own informed decisions about treatments, it's still a free world unless you live in Massachusetts where i believe they have powers to forcibly incarcerate and innoculate the entire population against their will if deemed necessary.  Scratch that from my list of places to visit.  And here's a good example of a new future...

I enjoy reading your thoughts it has become of ritual in my day! (ok... don't let your head swell up to much Steve! :o) ) ... Sometimes though, my ignorance of astrological forces and fluctuations does make it difficult to work out the balance between potentially positive or less positive (if not damned right negative) energies... So for example the art of grasping the + and - of Neptune's influence is quite a mystery to me... so when you add that its effects will be increased by combined energies with Jupiter and Chiron... then you have lost me... I am not sure if I should batton down the hatchets and disappear for the next 6 weeks into a "summerbernation" (i.e. switch off all connections human and electronic and indulge your feeling of wanderlust.. might as well let the world get on with it..just too much.. this is deemed to be the most sensible approach given your post about August.... (if I cannot hack it, I might as well 'beat it', kind of thing).. or stay with it because this could be a good opportunity to harness really positive energies ... and there again I am lost because I am not sure what positive energies this combination could provide.. But then again, this comment is only a reflection of my ignorance and not the quality of your thoughts! Looking at the bright side, it adds a delightful aura of mystery and magic to your word (and the world), that keeps me wondering on and off (sometimes) throught the day when I take a break and have a well deserve cup of tea... Keep up the good work...

Poster 1: "so when you add that its effects will be increased by combined energies with Jupiter and Chiron... then you have lost me..." ______________________________________ The best clarity I can give in a Nutshell... Neptune: = illusions, dreams and to hidden spiritual realm... it is that which is there, yet remains elusive and intangible. Jupiter: = Expansion. Chiron: = The teacher of teachers and wounded healer... it will evoke and facilitate healing, but mainly through hurts and painful lessons. By putting them together... Jupiter is expanding Neptune's illusions and elusiveness. The last time Chiron was in this position, there was a flu outbreak with similarities to the one we are currently facing - however this time the influences of Neptune and Jupiter are adding character to Chiron's current position... perhaps suggesting some form of expanded hype? I hope that helps... The +'s , -'s , favorable or unfavorable variations are a little trickier for me to get my head around sometimes too though...

From the U.S. here...your thoughts brought a connection in my mind too; the US gov. is pushing for health care reform by making it a law for all to be covered (somehow) and will be fined unless! Now that's one way to watch out for our health, gov.!
