What constitutes a ‘difficult' Neptune?  Enough of you have asked, so...  Most astrologers might define this as a square, inconjunction or opposition (90, 150 and 180 degrees) to/from the inner planets, often leading to identity issues/the artist (Sun), neurosis/intuition (Moon), confusion/imagination (Mercury), deception, unconditional love (Venus), quicksand/innovation (Mars), being ‘off planet'/spiritualised (Ascendant), and being rootless/glamourous (Midheaven).  But over thirty years of practice, I've learnt that in every challenge lies the potential to turn it into a skill, and that the positive way of manifesting Neptune in your life is to have a good relationship with the Divine, however you conceive of it as being, whether that be through the universe, creator, God, intuition, angels whatever...  I call it the upstairs department.  It physically manifests instantly in the area between the navel and the solar plexus, it is negated by alcohol and toxins, it is encouraged by water and maintaining psychic space and it is where your dreams and fantasies come become imagined and thus real.  It's where you can dream, and where you can drown.  Time to visit the seaside, methinks.....

Hmmm, sat here feeling yuk after a really good night out live music and pubs in one of the most unusual villages I have ever visited- the history and atmosphere is incredible..almost if time has stood still...Also best of all the sky was so clear last night, that for the first time in years I saw a shooting star- Looking at the above, I would say that there must be a "difficult Neptune" placement in my chart - still unsure of my identity, and have always felt rootless at age 53!

Steve: Thank you for your insight. I am lost unless I must check in with the upstairs department quite often. Since you explain that there is a strong connection between mind and body, I'd love to know what most of us are doing to cause head pain/headaches. Is it self-doubt?

Thanks Steve. As usual you offer insightful information. And for/re 'pain/headaches/self doubt' writer. May I suggest that the answer is in your question. It will be interesting to read Steve's comment.
