19th August 2009

I haven't been on more than a day's break for a long long time, and here I am in a field with coffee and wireless broadband after spending a night under more stars than I've seen in a long time.  I saw Spica, the star that seems to do predominate where the essence of luck or intuition is strong, dreaded Algol, so common in (thankfully rare) events of decapitation.  Mid evening I saw Pisces rise on the horizon, something not visible from the cities.  And it is the dark Moon - even better!  There are dogs barking (aren't there always?), kids screaming, adults laughing, good food, music and clowning.  Utter, utter bliss.

Dear Steve, Enjoy! I'm happy for you. I couldn't wait to send you a line heard on TV this week. Pure Genius! As follows: '.....that happy troupe of morons we call Congress.' Real wordsmithing. Yes, you can be blissfully happy and proud that you are a Brit. Have a great vacation.
