It's eight am, I'm sat on a hill with coffee and a laptop overlooking a field of some one hundred and fifty people, most of them still asleep after a night's entertainment of medieval music on lute, lyre and mandolin, as well as children's karaoke and story telling. In this community, (or as my friend Linda says, common unity) no-one pays to come in. Everything of a financial nature is by voluntary contribution, according to each individual's estimation of worth and their ability to pay. Everyone contributes in some shape or form. No-one loses or goes without, everyone looks after each other and most importantly of all, everyone looks everybody else in the eye and smiles when talking. Beats package holidays every time.
