And now Saturn has entered Libra, for the first time since September 1980, and things won't be the same any more.  Have a look at Libra in your chart, see what house it occupies and look to the need for restructuring in that area.  As I've mentioned before a number of times, this shows up strongly in the chart of Pakistan in a way that offers no room for compromise - if the current initiatives don't work this time, then that country truly will fall into chaos and disorder.  This will be resolved one way or another within a week or so.  The chart of Israel is looking troublesome in the middle of December, a culmination to things that have been ongoing since May of this year.  The horoscope of Iran is relatively calm, apart from the ongoing communication problems.  It is the ...

I lectured last night to the most intelligent group of astrologers I know, all mad, all different, all gifted.  One of them pulled me up on my description of the upcoming transit of Neptune through Pisces (2012-26) as being too negative, challenging me on the spot to reconsider some of my ideas.  Talking about that later, I had an epiphany about how we can 'save the world'.  The large scale transits of the coming few years are so about making us take responsibility for ourselves that the idea of the nanny system doens't work any more.  Instead, I can either be depressed about having to be responsible for myself, or I can rise to it and be delighted with it.  Maybe it's my Saggie side, but I prefer to smile rather than not to, and I truly believe that if everyone looked into each other's eyes and genuinely smiled unconditionally, we'd sort it all practically overnight.  A dream I know, but I thought I'd repeat something I've put up a few times before about this.  It's to do with the biggest virus of the lot.  Hope you like it.

This week Saturn moves into Libra for the first time since 1981, and we collectively move into the phase that astrologically is suggestive of final choices.  It is all very well to bemoan how hard our lives are, but if you can survive under this degree of evolutionary imperative, then you can handle anything.  This is not a practice or drill, this is the thing that we've spent much of our lives both training and waiting for.  Personally, I've been waiting for this time since I first saw it in my tables way back in 1983.  Despite the heaviness f my recent posts about the imminent future, I remain positive because I know that given another two or three years, not that long in real terms, this will all be sorted one way or another.   I can't wait.

25th October 2009

Looking back over the posts I've made over recent days and then thinking more about it, I realise that the meaning of current and recent (post 1988) astrological phenomena is not so much related to individual planetary effects or even their combined influence as much as it is related to the position in the sky that this phenomena is happening in.  More than half of the major transits and aspects of the last twenty years relate to the zero degree point at the start of Capricorn, and Cancer, the solstice points.  Since the dawn of time our ancestors have marked these points as the most important in the sky, representing both personally and globally our desire for roots, foundations and security along with our need for achievement, success and making a mark on the world.  And now, at the time of perhaps the most intense and concentrated period of human evolution for many thousands of years, these degrees are once again becoming the focus of astrological attention.  So what will the coming nine months bring?  Further change and challenge for many of us, but at the same time the opportunity to aspire to our true potential, primarily by taking responsibility ...

There have been three times in living memory where the astrological intensity came close to where it is now.  The first of these was in the early 1930's, where the Uranus/Pluto square of that time symbolically represented the sudden rise of the right wing.  This aspect is only now happening again, with similar results.  There was the Uranus/Pluto conjunction of 1966 with its opposition to Saturn, a time where the social order was suddenly and dramatically changed forever.  Then there was 1988 when Saturn and Uranus came together at zero Capricorn and a new world order was launched with the collapse of communism and the emergence of cyberspace.  The coming pattern of now through to August of next year matches all of these and then some, and as our understanding of the planetary archetypes grows so does our ability to use this knowledge to avoid the pitfalls of the past and turn this energy into a re-evolution of structure that sets in place a new world order based on individual empowerment as opposed to the clone mentality so seemingly pervasive today.

Pluto has been in Capricorn a year now, and don't those people born from the 21st to the 24th of both December and June know about it!  Next year it will directly affect those born from the 23rd to the 26th of the same months, but that's the personal side of it.....  Pluto brings transformation at the mass level, whether through mass indoctrination, mass death, mass weddings or mass enlightenment.  It can be phobic and paranoid when young, borderline obsessive and compulsive.  It can be extreme, with border line crisis and trauma never being far away.  It can also be eliminative, regenerative and purifying as well as transformative and trans-evolutionary.  When looked at in a positive light, Pluto brings a sense of rebirth, of the snake shedding its skin, the caterpillar turning into the butterfly and ultimately the phoenix rising from the ashes.  ...

Neptune in Aquarius - what a strange state of affairs.  The planet of the deep seas ruling deception, neurosis, confusion, spirituality, enlightenment and intuition in the sign of the water bearer, an air sign given to a humanitarian outlook. Neptune was discovered at the time of the first commercial brewing of alcohol, the first large scale usage of oil in industry, the drug wars with China and the onset of mesmerism and hypnotism.  I associate Neptune in Aquarius (1998-2012) with the resource wars that have epitomised the last decade and the rise in both atheism and fundamentalism in humanistic philosophy.  But this last nine months whilst both Chiron and Jupiter have also been together with Neptune in Aqaurius has been the cream on the cake, with the time of May 2009 particularly exacerbating the situation for many of us.  The over expansion, overheating and belief in the false gods of religion and/or profit are having their final heyday and when Jupiter hits Neptune again just before Solstice I expect some type of big balloon to burst.  Swine flu?  Market collapse?  Bubbles bursting...  In 2009/10 Neptune is confusing issues for those born on or around the 12th to the 16th of ...

Uranus in Pisces has been and continues to be a strange position, as though one is aware of change at a number of different levels but as soon as one tries to quantify, explain or understand it becomes, in typical Piscean fashion, nebulous, slippery and mysterious.  In many ways Uranus' transits of the last four years have been ‘mopping up' the damages done by Pluto over 2001-06, an effect continuing for the next two years until 2012.  Pisces rules the sea and the sea bed, and the laying of communications cable round the world of the last decade is demonstrative of this.  Uranus is in Pisces for another year and a half, but in the last five years it has gathered energy in readiness for both its coming square to Pluto and its transit into Aries and the beginning of a new 84 year Uranian cycle.  This gathered energy has been tested and ...

Saturn is about to enter Libra, where it will stay for a few months before retrograding in the late spring and early summer (northern hemisphere) into Virgo before entering Libra properly in July, right through until the end of 2012.  Although Saturn doesn't have a lighthearted reputation, Libra is perhaps the best position in the sky for him.  The idea of balance, sharing and teamwork affected by Saturn's energy of structure, formation and hard work is suggestive of voluntary ties and bonds forming between individuals and groups over the coming three years.  I mean, Virgo and Saturn is OK, but it does nitpickyness about perfection to the point where efficiency can be sacrificed for the small detail (is that a polite way of saying anal?).  Saturn entering Libra gives me hope, at least from next September onwards from when it will finish its ongoing and upcoming difficult angles to both Uranus and Pluto.  ...

19th October 2009

Jupiter is standing still at about 17-18 Aquarius, in readiness for a large scale burst of acceleration that is going to take it through Pisces and into Aries by July of next year, so a number of you are going to suddenly pick up speed one way or another.  For the meantime, Jupiter is particularly affecting you if you're born between the 6th to the 14th of February and the 9th to the 17th of August in ways that could easily be over the top.  The down side of this is that there can be exaggeration and over inflation of current circumstances to the point of explosion due to too much hot air.  The up side of this is that the bubbles of last May and early June are now bursting, and what's still left in a week or three will be real and profitable.  Jupiter will hit Chiron and Neptune again in mid/late December, amplifying the potential for further viral growth.   Remember, this conjunction was at its strongest in May and June when the 'pandemic' was 'sweeping the world'.  So keep moderation in mind if Jupiter is affecting you now and for the coming month or two.  In May ...

18th October 2009

Mars is fiery, punchy, assertive, sometimes aggressive or confrontational, always individualistic, confident, impulsive, sexy, dynamic, projective, boisterous, tactile and not that subtle.  In Leo, from now until the start of May, many of these qualities will be amplified n a showy, flamboyant, cocksure, proud, assured and confident manner.  It is often said by astrologers that Mars in Leo brings out the child in us all, playing for the fun of it rather than to win. Many astrologers have said that this coming seven months of Mars in Leo is a potentially warlike time, but I disagree.  From now until at least March, Mars makes no aspect of significance to Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Chiron or Jupiter.  Indeed, it sends much of the early New Year in positive aspect to Saturn, suggesting a time of more structured approaches to dealing with global issues of conflict and borders.  The opposition to the Sun at the end of January offers no serious challenge as far as I can see at this time.  Now if it's challenges you want, look no further than the upcoming Saturn/Pluto square and the impact it is having on the chart of Pakistan, especially over the coming two weeks.

17th October 2009

For a few months now I've been fingering these few days as a new beginning, or at least the cessation of the challenges and pressures of the last year or so.  Whether this has impacted on you personally in career, family, relationship, health, finance etc or whether you look at this globally and consider the almost total numbness that this last year has induced, know that astrologically speaking this time right now is the transition time from one state of change to another.  And it is in that brief, almost fleeting gap between two monsters of change where magic still exists, you can ride the wave of change and initiate new beginnings.  And it's new Moon, one of the most favourable of the year, in lovely aspect to Neptune and Chiron.  New Moon = new beginnings, Neptune = spirit and your link with the divine, Chiron = self acceptance and healing.   GOETHE 'Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.  Boldness has genius, power and magic in it'.

15th October 2009

Hard core astrology today folks.  The times they are a-changing...  Venus has just moved into Libra, Mars moves into Leo within two days, and Saturn will move into Libra within two weeks.  But the underlying themes are threefold.  There is the ongoing Saturn/Uranus opposition, currently in remission but returning in six months and representative of the ongoing social and economic change. There is also the ongoing conjunction of Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune, which initially developed in May of this year, and is seen as emblematic of infection, the swine flu epidemic, and this conjunction will return at the end of November and the start of December, so start eating your garlic and ginger now.  But all the time, in the background, brewing like a storm in the night, is the upcoming square between Saturn and Pluto.  Pluto in Capricorn is making us change our attitudes towards government, the global politic and our ides about borders and boundaries, whilst Saturn in Libra will bring the issue of balance, equality and sharing more obviously into the day to day gestalt.  Be sure that issues of inequality will continue to escalate, with politicians, public servants and bankers payments being symptomatic of this.  This ...

14th October 2009

Saturn/Pluto will become the new astrological buzzword of the coming nine months.....  The evolutionary bandwagon gathers pace, with synchronicities and little bits of magic becoming ever more prevalent.  Lots of people getting more than the normal "experiences" that defy logical explanation recently.  The upsurge over the last two or three years in issues such as human rights, freedom of speech, the rights of the child etc. are just one of the ways in which the evolutionary acceleration on planet at this time represents itself.  (Yes, crop circles are another!)  The boundaries between the worlds are thinning; this is the time we've all been waiting for.  Don't be scared, it's all working out beautifully.  The indications are that those who don't doubt themselves, those who work to benefit others at least as much as themselves, will come through this time with a better quality of inner strength, confidence, knowledge and clarity than at any time in their past.  This time could make us all into our own Gods or Goddesses.  What a world that would be?  And what better way to repay our originators and ancestors, who have dared to dream of a future that we are the final inheritors of, ...

13th October 2009

A number of people have asked me as to where I think crop circles fit into the non magical society of today, where do they come from, and who makes them?  They provide us with a glimpse into the magical past, when communication was through empathy, number, feel, pattern and metaphor rather than logic, rationality and analysis.  Thanks to crop circles we now know the secrets of eleven and thirteen fold geometry.  Crop circles have accurately described the solar and lunar eclipse patterns.  The crop itself is not dead - just bent at ninety degrees, and if left will grow back up.  The molecular structure of the crop has been changed - yet there is no evidence of ET in the making of these beautiful formations.   Obviously, because of the fine degree of precision involved, there has to be an intelligent and numerate source behind their construction.  Yet this is clearly not human.  ...

The Pisces/Virgo dichotomy continues. I think that the transit of Uranus through Pisces is the final nail in the coffin for moderate religion, and that fundamentalism of all types can only rise in the short term.  This could also be signified by the upcoming nine month square between Saturn and Pluto, of which more soon. That this is also happening at the time of transition from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius is synchronistically so relevant for human evolution that it makes me wonder if God does, indeed, play dice with the Universe.  For centuries we have been lied to and denied of our inalienable human rights of equality, spirituality and intuition.  Now the impotence of world leaders is becoming obvious to all, despite Nobel prizes, except to those fundamentalists who need something to believe in.  There is a madness sweeping this planet born of the extremist belief that I, ...

.....early am, still sane, ready for the day from hell in moving home.  But after yesterdays response from an astrologer in Germany, I feel compelled to reply.  Indeed, Mercury is the only planet that can handle Saturn, and to be at the end of a six wek conjunction of the two is almost a pleasure, at least in normal circumstances.  But the mutual opposotion of these two to Uranus has upped the tempo to an almost unbearable degree, the freneticism and immediacy of recent weeks will be remembered for the long term.  And in the background, underneath, brooding in the dark is always Pluto, biding his time.  Transformation will occur, on schedule, and we are the transformative matter,  it's just a question of whether we go there willingly or kicking and screaming.  For me it truly is day by day at the moment and has been for a time.  Maybe it's my Sag part, but at the end of the day it's better to smile than to cry, and to be constantly aware of where I am and what I am doing.  It really is the now.  Now I'm getting mifick, so time to go......

6th October 2009

I am gone, out of it, you get no sense from me today, I'm smack in the middle of a 72 hour move and it's madness.  Did I pick the right time?  Or did the right time pick me?

5th October 2009

Full Moon in Aries?  Ha!  I only realised it yesterday at about 7 am.  So if your life has just calmed down in the last three or four days, don't worry, I've taken it on for you.  I'm launching my new phone lines, moving house, juggling everything and spinning plates like I've never done.  And all the time I've got at the back of my head 'October 17th, it'll be over by then'.

4th October 2009

A brilliant day yesterday at Oympia, met a couple of you, did lots of networking, considered options, took soundings, thought about things, spoke to a few people, learnt loads, heard many opinions, decided nothing as yet...So now I'm going to watch ninety minutes of Monty Python to regain sanity....

A long time ago Jim said to Bob that he was going walkabout for a month, and would he look after his stuff?  Bob said fine; stick it in my spare cave.  Then Pete and Gary said that they wanted to go walkabout as well, and would Bob look after their stuff also?  Bob said OK.  But then Gary said "how are you going to tell my stuff from Pete's and Jim's?  So Bob gave them all pieces of paper with different numbers on so that when they came back and gave him their bit of paper, he would know which stuff to give them.  Eventually, Bob started taking a percentage of their goods in return for looking after them.  Pete, Jim and Gary in time got hacked off with always going home again just to check that their possessions were still OK, so they swapped their bits of paper for stuff where they were, and the new owners of the bits of paper went to Bob's cave multiplex and redeemed the goods for themselves.  This is the origin of money.  God, I hate banks.  And here's an oldie but goodie today.  I run this twice or so a year, ...

1st October 2009

Went to sleep last night looking at Jupiter and the Moon...  woke up early this morning and Venus was high in the west.  Other species see this, but do they marvel at it?  Do they ascribe meaning?  Do they recognise cycles of time, whether monthly or possibly lifetimes?  Although astrology is closer to Buddhism than any other religion ('know thyself'), all religions guilt trip.  Once the word 'should' is used, I'm gone...  Karma, reincarnation all involve a doctrine of clean conscience and integrity.  Nothing wrong with this, I practise it myself, but by choice, not belief.  It's here, it's now, and quite possibly this really is all there is.  So live for the moment, not next year or next life.  And in that context here's something a very few of you already know about, that I've been slowly and steadily building with others ...
