It's about nine hours to full Moon, and everywhere I look, self included, things and people are going over the top.  In the heavens there's a strengthening straight line between the full Moon, the Earth, the Sun and Jupiter, amplifying and exaggerating everything out of proportion.  And recent geo-physical and weather patterns are only set to get stronger as we approach the end of May and the start of June.  I know that this sounds irresponsible, but I really am suggesting that there are further radical developments to come in the coming few months that are further going to change the world that we comfortably live in in  a way that will be irreversible.  So- let me hypothesize.  Let's abolish the banks, for a start off, leaving only mutual building societies and co-operatives to manage our money for us.  I imagine that house prices are also going to change again, substantially, it's just that I can't tell whether that will be up or down.  But if that's going to happen, it will come in about three months time.  Elections in a number of European countries over coming weeks will probably bring a minor surge to the right, but this will ...

Further to yesterday's comments - the chart of a mass murderer or master criminal can be exactly the same as the chart of a saint or avatar, it's the intent of the person that selects their path, not the stars.  The planets impel, not compel, and the chart is merely a blueprint of potential.  The 1954-58 generation collectively opened the doors, the generations of the mid sixties were the pathfinders.  The 2010 generation will be the true explorers of both inner and outer space.  Meantime, that doesn't pay the food bills.  The coming full Moon will be expansive in many ways, it's a time of growth and positive opportunity as long as you only take two thirds of what's available as being real and of substance, whether this is in personal situations or in the global politic.  Should be good, and how often do you hear me say that.  More later, I suspect. 18.40 hrs.  Bright yellow full Moon rising over the hills to the east of Bath, with a fiery bright red Mars directly overhead, underneath Castor and Pollux in Gemini.  Part of the creation myth is in full view, proud and sultry Mars in Leo sulking as he ...

The planets move in orbit at speeds and distances from the Sun that create a constantly changing harmonic pattern that can never be repeated, and as that pattern constantly changes and this is replicated in people's horoscopes, I can see trends both at the weekly and at the six monthly in certain groups of people born at the same time.  And when planetary positions come to a nodal point, a point of exactness with each other, then i see sub generations of about seven days long that seem to be here for a specific purpose.  Very occasionally i suspect that this happens over a large period of time, such as the mid nineteen sixties.  But be sure of this - the patterns coming up from May to August of this year suggest a generation of children being born who will take humanity into completely uncharted territory.

I don't do omnipitence or 'God', but I do do higher consciousness and parallel dimensionality, as well as consciousness expansion and finding God within ourselves.  After all, where do the crop circles come from in not from either a parallel dimension indigeonous to our planet or else from our collective future?  More and more I find myself feeling that I (we) are on a cusp of some type of sudden change in consciousness that will propel us forward in ways that we've never imagined.  If the future holds fear, guns, power struggles and Gods with little egos and appendages, then I really don't want to stay around that long.  I want to interact with humans being, not human beings.  I want to be with people who take total responsibility for their own situation, even though I always fall short of my own expectations in this matter.  I don't want to live in a world of fear, blame and conflict over stupid, stupid religion.  Or excess profit, for that matter.  And a word to the wise - if you're selling property, do it sooner rather than later, won't you?

I deal with birth charts, a lot of them.  So over a period of decades people die, and purely out of the desire for knowledge I look not only at their birth chart but also their death chart.  And whilst almost every time I can see correlations, there is no tried and trusted formula for predicting one's demise - and if there were, I wouldn't be an astrologer.  But recent cases in the UK concerning the prosecution of people for aiding in assisted suicide really worry me.  When I'm old, tired and worn, I don't want some teenager on minimum wage wiping my bottom whilst listening to some right wing religious nut telling me how good life is, I want to die gracefully and at a time and place of my choosing, ideally surrounded by my freinds and loved ones in the middle of a great party.  I'm really not scared of meeting 'God', I chat with him/her/it every day.  But I think that fundamentalists of all religions are actually terrified that when they die things aren't going to be the way they think they are, so they try and persuade others because if everyone believes the same way that ...

What a long strange trip it's been....  Sometimes, especially when It's quiet up there, I find myself going off into flights of imagination.  I occasionally blog about these, disguising them as time travel or something similar.  But I've been in a block phase recently, questioning the validity of everything that I am and that I do.  And yesterday I found myself with about eighty others in a five hour meeting that ended up with me being elected once again (under a minor degree of protest) to be a director of the Big Green Gathering, with it's half a million debt and myriads of different opinions as to how to move forward.  However, there's a consensus of desire for progression as opposed to liquidation, and I'll give it my best shot.  Watch this space for updates over the coming eighteen months as we aim to put on the green event of the century in 2011.  Have I yet again bitten off more than I can chew?  Time will tell...  Meanwhile - this week.  That bright red star in the sky about three hours after sunset?  That's Mars, looking particularly vibrant at this time, just underneath Pollux and Castor, the stars of ...

Was astrology invented or discovered?  I think it was realised, discovered in the context of coming to terms with living under a steadily changing pattern in the night sky, with ensuing myths leading to different influences being ascribed to particular visual phenomena.  Prior to the 1670's, astrology was used in gardening, husbandry, food production, politics, trade and medicine.  Today, in Russia, many large hospitals have not only psychic surgeons but also astrological software in their delivery rooms.  In these delivery rooms, mortality rates are down to 0.3%.  But then the Russians are fifty years ahead of the west in psychic studies and related phenomena.  They prefer astrology to psychology or psychotherapy, which is seen as drab, grey and linked to the past, whilst astrology is rich, alive and vibrant.  They've sought to incorporate holistic attitudes and practises alongside basic materialism.  Next - here's three versions of astrology.  An illicit religion - the church.  ...

According to the family tree I have in my possesion, the brother of my eleven times grandfather was one Oliver Cromwell, and apparently even my skull shape is similar to his.  Our charts are totally different, fortunately - I get the impression that the guy didn't have a lot of fun.  Lord Protector to some, hated by others, really Saturnine by nature.  His conversion to anti-catholicism came suddenly, when he was being treated for depression aged 29 , the first Saturn return.  Died of malaria at 59, the second Saturn return.  The conjunction of Venus, Saturn and Neptune in his chart in his sunsign of Taurus brought an almost socialist attitude based around the wrongness of inequality and value.  Unfortunately, I cannot source a birth time for him.  When Cromwell and others in the New Model Army launched the civil war in 1641 there were less than ten astronomical/astrological almanacs in print - eight years later there were thousands.  These mainly ended up on a nail in the privy, but the information was out of the bag.  Cromwell used astrologers to inspire his troops with predictions of victory (as did the King).  Co-incidence, synchronicity - whatever.  From the time of ...

Aaaahhhhhhh.......   big, big thank you to the wonderful people of northern Peterborough for a great time on Saturday, and to the people of Leominster who turned out on a cold night at short notice to come and see me yesterday.  Expected about ten, got thirty, really really crowded, great vibe, I foolishly made one or two rather stupid predictions about the British political system that fortunately were not recorded.  Five hundred miles, 22 readings and a great lecture, 42 hours.  And today I sleep, and I advise you all to do the same, at least metaphorically.  Things are different now compared to a few days ago, the Sun has passed Neptune, the energy has changed and there's a greater feeling of release around.  This week theoretically should be relatively calm, quietest week of the month unless you're a Pisces, who all collectively seem to be heading into a buttock clenching white knuckle ride over the coming eight weeks

12th February 2010

Forty eight hours to new Moon in Aquarius, and this particular new Moon has many different layers to it.  On the one hand, it's conjunct both Neptune and Chiron, neither of which really like Aquarius, and this can bring the capacity for global gullibility and avoidance to a height - the wool pulled over the eyes.  It can also bring a flood, hopefully of empathy, compassion and benevolence as well as a rebirth of spirituality.  it's the second of a set of three new Moons that are changing the world gestalt, acros the board.  The first new (eclipsed) Moon a month ago provided the trigger, this one brings the dissolution and releasing, and the next new Moon (conjunct Uranus) in mid March is the real deal, with major new beginnings representative of the 21st century.  But here's another way of seeing things that I've just noticed - at the time of new Moon on Sunday morning, all bar four planets are in a small segment of the sky, less than nine percent.  And the planets outside of this small segment are the 'men', Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto, whilst those within that segment are more feminine.  The Moon and Sun ...

Done four readings for seperate clients today, all of them with what I call Capricorn or Saturn issues, and of course the Moon's been in Capricorn all day so no surprise there.  However, I was chatting with one of them after the reading and she has made a study of monarchy around the world.  Out of (I think)198 countries in the world, only twenty nine of them still have monarchs.  I am not a royalist, but I am a monarchist.  The land needs its king or queen.  i would quite happily turn most of the minor royals out of their safe lifestyle and put them to work, but we need the Queen.  I'm in my mid fifties and she's been on the throne since before I was born.  She has an absolutely wonderful horoscope, a natural monarch if ever there was one.  Which is strange, considering she wasn't meant to be Queen, it was only accident that led her to the throne.  i've been public for over twenty years about how she will outlast Victoria, how Charles is very unlikely to keep the throne if he gets it at all, and how one of the boys will take the monarchy ...

I've been getting dragged into politics recently, so back to astrology.  When Pluto entered Scorpio in 1983, we said it would be the beginning/end of nuclear war.  It was the end, but Pluto in Scorpio brought us HIV and an opening up sexually worldwide.  Pluto in Sagittarius we said would be the end of organised religion, and we got fundamentalism as the precursor to this.  We (astrologers) said that Pluto in Capricorn would bring world government and now, ten percent of the way through its journey, we've got political upheaval and transformation taking place almost daily.  I can't help but have an anglophile perspective, although I try to give a global vision astrologically.  But the chart for England (not UK, but England) that I use is set for midday on 25th December 1066, putting Pluto on top of England's Sun for the first time since 1763, when the natives and immigrants of the British colony of North America were beginning to get a bit restless.  The UK has  one per cent of the worlds population, but twenty five percent of the world's CCTV cameras.  Why?  Because this country is not only the perpetrator of all the old sins that still ...

9th February 2010

A comment yesterday about Britain being a racist country gave me pause for thought.  I live in a country responsible for slavery, torture, genocide and extreme racism in the past.  I am not proud of this.  What I am proud of is living in the most multi cultural society in the world, where black, white, yellow and brown live in relative harmony, where everyone is entitled to free health care regardless of whether you're rich or poor, and where even our policemen have no need to carry guns.  Empires crumble - that's what history tells us, whether it's the Greek, Roman, Ottoman, British or American.  And racism will only exist as long as there is fear and bigotry.  And what is the main perpetrator of fear and bigotry?  Bxxxxy religion, that's what.  My God has got a bigger dxxk than your God.  Do we, as a species, deserve to evolve?  If we can't even treat each other civilly, how can we reach out?  Never in the history of the Earth has the responsibility for the evolution of a species been given to that species.  We are the first ever who can jump with anticipation and predictive safety, but also who ...

8th February 2010

As some of you know, for many years I've suggested that 2010 is the crunch point for humanity, as opposed to 2012 or any other year.  Now I'm increasingly being asked to nail my colours to the wall and be specific.  We have time.  But not years, or even many months.  Astrologically, the timetable (or my interpretation of it) has advanced and in about 13-14 weeks from now, at the end of May, something unique will happen, something that's never happened before.  And I still maintain that this is the end, not of trade and profit, but of global capitalism and consumerism in its current form.  More on this over the coming week or two.  More currently - we watched over the weekend the coverage of the Tea Party in the USA.  When someone said 'where's the non white folk' we quickly realised that everyone there seemed to be white, rich, protestant and middle aged or older.  That's what I call a healthy demographic - not.  Now - this week.  All week there's an ongoing finger of fate between Jupiter, Saturn and retrograde Mars, so no economic clarity will ensue.  And as the end of the week approaches, so the ...

6th February 2010

Late ramblings on a Saturday night, just finished 5,000 words for March, I'm a bit all over the place.  So Pluto, always seen through the hubble as carbon black or white, is slowly turning from brown into red - can't think of what this means astrologically, but I'm open to suggestions?  And BAE - what a bunch of wxxxxxs.  They've just paid a quarter of a billion dollars to bribe their way yet again out of investigation.  Sounds a lot until you realise that it's less than one percent of the amount they made for weapons to a number of gulf states.  And I loved the report that said that cat owners are more likely to go for MA and PhD, whilst dog owners settle for BA or less.  I don't have pets, but i do have a number of clients, many of whom I identify as semi non human, and a few are truly barking.  Totally sane, but barking.  And new inventions to symbolise the coming Jupiter/Uranus conjunction?  Go here.  It's the end for Domestos, as my source says.

4th February 2010

Over millenia, religion, government and kings have shaped the calendar to suit their own purposes, but underlying this is the Earth's regular orbit around the Sun.  Take Imbolc, for example.  Now conveniently celebrated as Candlemas by christians, or Bridey's day (Brigid, Brigette etc) by pagans, even wikipedia states that it falls on February 1st.  Imbolc has been, is and will continue to be one of the eight moots of the year, falling normally on February 4, when the Sun is exactly halfway between solstice and equinox - i.e at fifteen degrees of Aquarius.  And that was this morning, so happy Imbolc.  It is the return of spring, the first green shoots, the first lambs in the fields, the mornings getting lighter.  The fertility is returning to the land, the sap is beginning to rise again.  Much of current new age pagan mythology is just mumbo jumbo, but the celebration of Imbolc, Beltane, Lammas and Samhain as the four cross quarter points has been around for thousands of years and it is hard wired into our systems no matter how much it is misshaped and corrupted by wannabe power brokers.  Remember - we need this planet, it doesn't need us.

3rd February 2010

Mish mash today...  Extension to one of yesterday's comments - when dealing in any way with others, you are responsible for your actions, you are not responsible for other people's reactions.  And once the dreaded word 'should' (as in ' you should...) enters the equation, it's time to leave.  And for UK readers - didn't Clare Short do well yesterday?  Obviously deranged and bitter - after all, she accused Tony Blair of lying before an official panel of inquiry!  Surely, that can't be true?  Seriously though, what a shame that Blair, with such high aspirations, should only be remembered for being a lickspittle to his American masters.  All that Gemini in his chart, never realising (to quote another contributor from yesterday) that whilst the grass is always greener on the other side, it still needs regular mowing.  At least with Thatcher we knew what we were dealing with.  And today?  With a lovely Moon in Libra working very well with a number of planets, today is a good day for compromising in a way that ensures everyone gets something and no-one is unhappy.

2nd February 2010

Sometimes I despair about the negativity i get from some of the contributors to my blog.  I won't block them, but i find it so sad that three quarters of the contributions are all about how hard their lives are and how the universe owes them a living.  I'm no different sometimes, but at the end of the day my catchphrase stands: negativity can't exist where there is humour.  So what if the world is coming to an end?  At the end of the day, regardless of situation, I have the choice of being happy or unhappy, and I prefer being happy because it makes me feel good!  Simplistic, I know, but I am a simple man.  And - today, my website is eight years old - the longest continuous blogging astrological website in the world, so many many thanks to all my freinds and clients who have encouraged me to keep going.  Onwards!  UPDATE At 13.42 GMT today, things change as the Moon moves into Libra and conjoins with Saturn.  There will be decisions....

1st February 2010

February's forecasts and videos are up, late as usual...  Look, we've all felt that change like we've never experienced it is coming, but I really think that it's imminent now.  I don't see this as negative in any way, but things are going to permanently change and many will be disconcerted by this.  At this time, the emphasis is not on the outer or the inner planets, it is that a succession of new and full Moons over January, February and March are all either on top of or exactly opposite planets.  This is a seeding time, where things are going to become more actual, where the compressed wrangle of necessity will wring out something new with a quasi magical content that will affect us not only technologically but consciously as well,  there is a flood coming but it is a flood of empathy and it's going to be here within a few months max.  And sometimes I can't write fast enough.  And this month with the new Moon on Neptune and the full Moon opposite Jupiter is going to bring the waters up for everyone, the dumbing down of population is failing and becoming increasingly redundant, and I think ...
