30th June 2010

End June, astrologically speaking smack in the middle of what I see as the biggest wave of concentrated and compressed change for seven thousand years.  Change or die is often misused, but applied globally it's safe to state that if we continue the insane drive for resource exploitation and mindless profit at our neighbours and childrenss expense, then we as a species won't be around long.  I disagree with yesterday's reply concerning destiny and fate, so for what it's worth, here's my current take on them.  Imagine being on top of a tree trunk.  Underneath, rooting you to the ground is a straight line that is clear and direct.  It is your past, it has happened, it is measurable and demonstrable.  Because it has happened, it was fated, or destined.  Ahead of you lay many thousands of different branches, big and small.  Many different ways to move forward, but all leading to contact with the outside world, to the interface with all that is.  You will end up at that interface, that is fated, but the ways and timings of that meeting are to an extent in your own hands.  This is called free will.  It's easy to go down ...

Enough people have asked me, so here goes - AstroCartoGraphy.  The placing of one's horoscope on a map of the globe.  There are two ways of doing this.  Firstly, by identifying where on Earth certain planets are rising, setting or directly overhead/underneath, and suggesting that these places have stronger influences than others, and secondly by looking from outside of the solar system through the lens of the planets to see which areas on the Earth's surface are indicated at any given time.    In my experience this shows where people will find a better degree of ecperience.  ACG is a new form of astrology, only really working since the advent of computers, but I've a number of clients who have visited/moved to specific places as indicated by their ACG and not one has complained, indeed many have had their lives changed and enhanced by the moving of their home/job/relationship etc to more favourable locations.  Of course, the same process also shows where not to go.  Normally I can find the best and worst places for an individual to experience, but this is dependent on a reasonably accurate time of birth (plus/minus ten minutes), and with only fifteen years of experience this ...

28th June 2010

About 12.50 GMT today, the Moon leaves Capricorn and enters Aquarius.  No big deal, I hear you say, this happens monthly.  But this one's different in that it brings to a close a three day period that has changed many of our lives in big ways, and I'm not talking football.  For me this period has opened a passage into a different mindset around waste.  I'm not talking about daily rubbish (in Bath it fascinates me to see people vying about who can recycle the most before driving off in their gas guzzlers), I'm talking waste in terms of efficiency and time management.  Let me also point out that in the last few days and until next weekend, Mars in Virgo is next to Vesta, the asteroid that more and more I'm associating with focus and attention, along with nerves and digestion.  I'm rambling a bit, but the point here is that for those of us willing enough to stop pontificating and start doing, there is the capacity in the coming ten days before the next eclipse to actualise and manifest in terms of concentration.  If you hold your focus, you can train yourself to become sharper and more acute ...

27th June 2010

I should listen to myself sometimes.  I said and did something yesterday that will have long term repercussions, and I'm not particularly proud of myself even though I kept my cool and dealt with things professionally.  Sometimes you have to do things where you know you'll suffer as a result, but the alternative is not doing them, and the outcome of that course could be even worse.  Suppose that's called karma, but I'll live with it...  And what's happening in Canada?  Riots, earthquakes...  Strangely deflated this morning, dissapointed in outcomes but happy about not blowing up when it would have been so easy to do so.  Using my curent terminology, the crest of the third wave of change has now passed and we're on the backslide down into a new operating system, it feels as though it's not a software upgrade but hardware, and the intergration will take a month or so...  We're in limbo land betwen eclipses, and as much as yesterday's eclipse brought endings so the next one will bring new beginnings.  I feel kind of numb, I hardly drink alcohol at all because it fogs my brain but right now I could murder a bottle or three ...

26th June 2010

It's full Moon, it's an eclipse, and it's a Grand Cross in the sky.  Today will be a day that many of us will remember as a symbolic day that summarises not only this year so far, but also the last few years.  It has the quality of gathering and reaping, of concluding and releasing.  To all those people who are losing others, or in deep doo-doo themselves, go without fear.  Fear is only the reaction to the removal of comfort and systemised behaviour, the emergence into a new state of being.  There is no death, only transition into different states of being, and one of the side effects of recent times is to make the veils between the dimensions thinner.  This is the time of Pluto/Hades, ushering us into a new understanding concerning the realities of life, death and rebirth and bringing a new link into the un and subconsciousness.  This is the time where fear gets abandoned as a worn out and redundant emotion.  One day we will all die, at least physically, and the current astrological stage suggests a kind of internal preview of what this really means and how we can manage death, the death of ...

25th June 2010

So much going on... i keep sitting down to write this, but something seems to be happening constantly.  So far this week in my client base there's two births, one death and two new cases of cancer...  it really is life or death out there, seems to me that most are either cowed into being sheeple or else are increasingly on the edge - thank goodness the world cup is taking some of the passion that might otherwise turn negative.  The exception to these people are the intelligentsia who contribute here, you've helped me grow enormously and it's people like you lot who continue to inspire me and bring hope.  Yet it's a brooding full Moon, laden with potential surprise, but probably in a challenging way.  My guts don't feel right, and I'm not talking physical - I feel a bit like a caged animal, ready to let rip given enough provocation.  Practically - full Moon, sqauring Saturn, Uranus and Jupiter, conjuncting Pluto?  Probably not a good time to drive fast when angry, take risks, cut vegetables with sharp knives when emotionally upset etc etc.  It's personal line in the sand time, this is the final cut off point, after ...

24th June 2010

I can only write as I see it...  there's a lot more than normal fear out there at the moment, coupled with moments of extreme optimism to the point of unreality.  More and more, just in the last few days I've been advising people to find the Buddhist within themselves.  It started off as a joke, but all of a sudden it seems to make sense.  If you can hold your focus and centre at this time instead of swinging to extremes then the reward will come not only in terms of more stability, but also the self belief and self confidence that comes when you realise that you CAN do it on your own if needs be, the is no NEED for anyone else.  The domain of the wise or wisdom as it's sometimes known, comes when the necessary amounts of knowledge, experience and age have matured, and the more you hold your inner peace and stay centred now, just as everyoine else is losing it, the more you accelerate the evolution into wisdom.  And the season's hotting up - go here in Germany and here in the UK.

23rd June 2010

Both the coming full moon on the 26th and the following new Moon on the 11th July are eclipses, neither total.  A lot of people, especially in the crop circle community are pointing to the July 11th as being hugely significant, but to be honest the astrology doesn't add up.  Instead, i'm focussing on the coming full Moon, conjunct Pluto.  The full Moon will bring light into the subterranean underworld depths of Pluto (Hades).  Pluto is death and rebirth at its most final and exact, no messing.  Plutonian types amongst humanity sometimes feel that the purpose of life is solely to prepare for one's death, and the tranformation that will take place at that time.  The down side of this is that there could be nuclear evolution (Pluto - plutonium) or similar underground explosions or movements, including geo-physical.  The neutral side of this is that light will come into the personal underworld, allowing a deeper than usual psychological insight into both your own and other's inner motivations and reasoning.  And the up side of this is that secrets will be revelealed, a huge uncovering will take place, some type of permanent ending will occur that brings a culture of secrecy ...

22nd June 2010

Looking through some old astrology books last night, ones I haven't opened for years if not decades, and I came across a note I made for myself in 1990, saying 'Look at this' and pointing me to the full Moon in June 2010.  Firstly, it's a near total lunar eclipse, visible clearly in the Pacific region.  Secondly, the eclipsed full Moon is right on top of the death and rebirth planet Pluto, of which more tomorrow.  Thirdly, the full Moon makes (yet another!) Grand Cross, bringing to a peak the current third wave of concentrated change.  I am so hacked off with myself, all I seem to be doing at the moment is preaching seriousness and doom and gloom when I want to be 'full of the joys of spring' (sic).  Nevertheless, these are the times I've been waiting all of my adult life for, or at least since I learnt to read an ephemeris (tables of planetary places and movements) way back in the very late 1970's, and one way or another I shall be delighted once we're established into September because by then it's sorted, one way or another.  Meantime, I'm smack in the middle of premonition city, ...

21st June 2010

Solstice morn....  No I don't go to Stonehenge at this time, in the summer there's 20-30,000 weekend hippies trying to rediscover their pagan roots for twenty four hours, whereas during the winter (Stonehenge is a winter solstice monument) there's normally 2-500 people, what I call dedicated ethnics, of whom I'm proud to be one.  The chart for solstice (today at 11.28 GMT) is strange.  On the one hand, the Sun makes a Grand Cross with Saturn, Uranus, Jupiter and Pluto.  On the other hand, there's also an even stronger Grand Trine involving the Moon and Neptune and Chiron.  I suggest that the actual chart and day of solstice marks a number of choice points, both positive and challenging, but that the few days afterwards are very difficult indeed, until the 26th, and that the wise person takes time out to consider actions as opposed to knee jerk reactions.  We are still in the middle of what i see as four concentrated waves of change, of which this time is the start of the third swell, with the fourth wave being finished in about seven weeks time, by which time I think that the metaphorical surgery will have been done.  Strange ...

18th June 2010

I might remove this later, depending on response...   I've kept my peace long enough.  What can one possibly say about the level of multinational corporate greed, and their uncaring and inhuman attitude towards old fashioned human life?  What can possibly be said in the defence of a corporate giant that cuts corners to save money and thus by its actions kill many people, destroys the environment and livliehood of tens of thousands of others, kills millions of animals and then does a runner, refusing all responsibility and leaving the country at the earliest possibility?  These murdering scumbags who care only for shareholder profit and their bonus don't give a hoot about the environment or human life, knowing full well that their government wil back them up.  Yes, step forward Union Carbide Corporation of America, who murdered hundreds and blinded thousands in Bhopal, India, only to cut and run.  Of course, that was then and this is now, and things are totally different today.  There's absolutely no parallel with any other hypothetical multinational (39% American owned) company in a similar position who isn't running away, who's compensating everyone, is negating their shareholders dividend (even the pensioner to whom this is their ...

17th June 2010

Three and a half days until Solstice, Moon in Virgo and building, I think I'm perhaps a day or two ahead of the curve at the moment.  Normally i advocate people gathering together to celebrate the stations of the Sun, but for this solstice (Monday, 11.28 GMT) the pattern of squares that the Sun makes to Saturn, Jupiter and Uranus gives me cause for concern, making me want to celkebrate solstice in a low key and understated way.  I think that there's a sudden degre of over inflation about to surface, and that the pruning and weeding, the efficiency drives of the last week should put us in good stead to cope with these times.  It really does seem like one thing after another at the moment, roll on September, that's my mantra for now.  Go here to see pattern within pattern.  Pure beauty.

16th June 2010

Every single day the planets in the heavens move to a different pattern, symbolically representing new energies and opportunities, as well as difficulties and challenges.  The 'dance of the planets' is well catalogued, whether by Martineau's Book of Co-incidence, Kepler's Harmony of the Spheres or just by watching the day to day movements in the skies.  In the early 1990's I watched old hippies dancing to the drumbeat around campfires one night, followed by watching youth en masse resonate to the trance beat in the clubs the next, and realising that it was basically one and the same thing, that sound, particularly repetetive beats of sound in the company of others, lowers the normal boundaries that keep us isolated and promotes community, unconditional well being and open heartedness to all beings.  As always, this can be used in a negative way - the playing of nonstop heavy metal to prisoners in torture prisons, for example.  But the point of all this is that there is a beat to the universe, and we have the capacity to turn this beat into harmony.  Reggae is the heartbeat, trance is the brainbeat, the lunar cycle the oil that keep the planetary gears pulsing ...

15th June 2010

Too busy to think.... Here's a great flashback.  Appreciate who you are, Be nice to everyone, Choose your road, Dodge negativity, Envision your direction, Flaunt your fabulousness, Go where your spirit lies, Have faith, Investigate life's mysteries, Jump! (missed this earlier), Keep on keeping on, Laugh lots, Make friends, Never litter, Observe Landscape, Play often, Quit worrying, Relax, Smell flowers, Take one step at a time, Unload excess baggage, Value yourself, Walk a mile in others' shoes, Xpect the best, Yield to fun, Zone out occasionally.

14th June 2010

This week, the Sun in the sky is brewing in a strengthening square to Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus.  The Saturn/Uranus opposition is stirring again, for the final time in decades, and the closer Mars gets to Saturn (end of July) the more intense things are likely to become, so forewarned...  I know other astrologers out there who put a much 'nicer' spin on the global dynamic, and I actively encourage and support them, even aspire to them, but short term humanity's in crisis and and radical surgery as opposed to aromatherapy is being asked of us now.  I am not and never have been a 'happy clappy' singing for Jesus/Apollo/Muhammed/Krishna, although I sometimes envy them what I see as their naivety or innocence, as well as their focus and belief.  The next seven weeks to my mind represents the real crunch point.  Honest.  If you've been reading me over the years, then you know I've been fingering July 2010 as THE time for over two decades.  Let's get to September - then I'll lighten up.  Meantime, go here (updated) and - amazingly, and with divine beauty - here.

13th June 2010

wasn't going to post today but hey...  When I did my research on the crop circle phenomena for my dissertation for my MA, I was fortunate enough to interview the top civil servant in the Ministry for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries about the official government position on crop circles.  I was informed - in writing - that in the government's opinion, the crop circle phenomenon in the UK is caused either by humans, animal rutting behaviour or unusual wind patterns peculiar to the central south of England.  As you can see, those old men with their planks are getting better and better.  I was here a couple of hours ago.  Truly phenomenal.

12th June 2010

10.20 - random thoughts.   Divide and conquer, alienate the masses through blame and xenophobia, reinforce boundaries between people - hasn't that always been the way?  And aren't we at critical mass enough now to supercede these infantile and insecure patterns? And if China can have sixty mile an hour electric charge cars with a 300 mile travel span, why can't we?  Neptune and Chiron are at the end of Aquarius, moving into oily Pisces.  Other astrologers have writen at length on the new Black Sea, I envy them their time to do so.  But if I ever needed a clear example of Peak Oil, this is it.  Within fourteen years of now, the usage of oil in the world will be less than ten percent of what it is now.  And in two hours it's new Moon, in a strong and healthy place.  This is a great, great day for either really beginning something brand new, or for finally and permanently closing doors thus allowing new futures a birth.  Outer appearances may be elusive, but today is hugely representative of the coming futures, so once again it's a day for dreaming in good things.  More later maybe - oh and thanks ...

11th June 2010

I've done about twenty-five ten year forecasts in the last few weeks as an experiment not only to see if that format of forecasting works for me and my clients (it does) but also to get a view through many different horoscopes of the coming decade.  What I'm seeing is that the coming two and a half years are indeed the hardest of the next decade, although the year 2019 is looking very developmental in many people's chart.  I don't go along with prophecy, but it is rather strange how the year 2012 (but more May rather than December) seems to culminate a lot of things for a lot of people.  OK - off to do the radio show - today - the astrology of oil, an examination of abduction by non human and non human phenomena (seriously!), the acceleration of evolution, monthly forecasts and much, much more.  Details on the front page...

10th June 2010

28 and 29 degrees of Taurus.  Familiar?  Should be, it's where the Pleiades are, the Seven Sisters, high in the shoulder of the charging bull that is Taurus.   Often seen as the home of ‘channelled' entities, as well as the home of the ‘greys' and various other species if you go for that sort of thing, it's an area of sky that's instantly recognisable.  The old astrological textbooks refer to it as the degree of blindness and it is seen as an unfortunate place to have planets in your chart.  Try telling that to the generation born in the very early 40's with Saturn/Uranus conjunction right on top of the Pleiades.  Why does it get such a bad press?  Well, the Arabs had it figured for a malefic influence back in the 9th century, and I don't argue with those guys.  Even the fortunate ones with planets at that degree report an ...

9th June 2010

Within the next 24 hours, Mercury finally leaves Taurus where it's been since start April.  This finally closes the door on much of the misunderstandings and miscommunication of the last two months.  Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun.  It goes round the Sun faster than any other planet, so its principle is that of movement and communication.  It's the way you communicate with yourself, through intellect, mind and thought.  It's the way you communicate with other, through speech, phone, text, email etc, and it's the way you communicate with the world through socialising, partying and travelling.  Mercury is the way you read, write, think, speak and move.  And tomrrow Mercury moves into its own sign of Gemini, so I expect words to start flying round the place in ways that should yield results, although tomorrow itself may be inflammatory as Mercury also is sqauring Mars for the last time for six months.  So - Geminis - heads up, the next two weeks is going to be a lot faster than any other time of the year so far.

8th June 2010

After seven months in Leo, the entrance of Mars into Virgo within the last 48 hours is a welcome breath of fresh air.  Mars is always active no matter where he is, and Virgo is renowned for it's attitudes towards order, cleanliness and method (fussy?  moi?) so the recent surge of spring cleaning and downsizing comes as no surprise to me.  The logical next step from an astrological perspective is the entrance of the words 'efficiency' and 'effectiveness' into our personal lives, it's now a question of time management and relegating the superfluous.  As someone at the Floating Lotus said to me at Sunrise at the weekend, 'waste is a sign of decadent society'.  They were running six desktops, a satelite dish, a movie projector, a couple of amplifiers and many other appliances on 180 watts (that's three light bulbs) using solar and wind - but they can't get interest from the mainstream power companies, of course.  Anyway, I digress.  The import of Mars in Virgo is to become more competent, proficient and potent in whatever you do, thus maximising output with a minimum of input and creating other energy/time for more work or rest or pleasure.  Look at what ...

7th June 2010

All systems go up there at the moment, Mars changed sign about four hours ago, there's a whole new dynamic around... initial soundings suggest that the majority of people are taking the opportunity to start afresh, and that's got to be a good thing.  The impetus of the last few days will bring major new changes in group dynamics as well as individual lives, and the coming two months will bring increasing polarised options.  People will come together in consensus whilst governments and corporates will attempt to isolate and disempower through increased restrictions, all leading to the time at the end of July and the start of August when some type of resolution will occur, one way or another.  I know that it all seems endless at the moment, but these waves of change are actually doing what they are designed for, accelerating and elevating us in terms of both intelligence and consciousness.  And honestly, from my astrological viewpoint once we're into early September LATEST we should all start to see a decrease in the change energy, at least until the end of the year.  Hang in there.

6th June 2010

Big, big thank you to the Sunrise festival crew, going back there today.  About an hour ago the Moon moved into Aries.  I had a great day yesterday, and I'll have an equally great but very different day today.  Sat here just cogitating on the immensity of it all and overlaying planetary orbital patterns on the whole thing, and the word that comes up as I try and summarise the transition that we are all going through is 'fertilisation'.  I truly believe that the holding of good intent today can greatly affect the long term future for the positive.  The results of this immediate time may not burst through until the end of July-start of August, but to my mind this weekend is it, so be good to yourself and others today.  No dogma, no guru - just be proud of yourself, just for one day.  Sent by the being known as Steve, acting on the design of the highest of off planet dimensions, that of the descended mistresses.

5th June 2010

When I was a kid we used to have a weekly knock on the door, with a man coming round to collect the insurance, the hire purchase payments and the pension payments, and my mum could never afford them all so her pension went.  From that day I thought to myself that I would never have a pension, and that the idea of saving for my old age was just another con perpetuated by the financial industry in order for its people to feed.  I still, fifty years on, feel that I'm never going to stop working or get a pension, that the whole idea is a con.  Nevertheless, I recognise that I'm in a very small minority here, and I do understand that nearly 20% of British pensions are tied up with BP, although which ever idiot had the idea of taking people's savings and gambling them on the stock market needs shooting.  As another astrologer pointed out to me yesterday, the oilrage in the Gulf started the day that Chiron moved into Pisces, and truly the astrological indications suggest that this will take almost two years to heal, of which more later.  And thank you for the messages ...

4th June 2010

Uranus the changebringer and Jupiter the growth merchant are dancing at their strongest now, and on Saturday the Moon joins them and brings a focussed lens to their attributes.  The Jupiter/Uranus conjunction (note to yesterday's blog:  conjunctions empower, oppositions conflict) and its opposition to Saturn and square to Pluto are taking centre stage now, but almost unacknowledged is today's Mars opposite Neptune.  For years now I've associatted Neptune in Aquarius with oil, through Kuwait, Iraq and now BP.  And today's opposition at the time of trying to cap the oil spill is indicative of the extremes of action being taken.  No worries though, despite the ongoing pollution and environmental degradation, the shareholders have been assured that they wiil get their dividend, so its nice to see that BP have got their priorities right.  This is symptomatic of western greed and exploitation which will lead to our downfall and collapse.  It seems that the lessons of Greece, Eygpt and Rome have not been learnt - empires crumble.  I believe that the impending end of the corporate and capitalist system and the corresponding impotence of governments will force us into taking choices and responsibility into our own hands, through consensus and electronic ...

3rd June 2010

Yesterday's events in the NW of England have shocked everyone in the UK.  We are the only civilised country in the northern hemisphere that doesn't have a 'gun culture', if we hear of mass slaughter we automatically think of the USA or similar countries where carrying guns is a way of life.  We pride ourselves in the UK on being gun free, so something like this is doubly traumatic. Expect further events of such a shocking nature over the coming few days, the Cumbria shootings are representative of the degree of tension and stress that seems to be permeating the world at this time.  I'll be glad come next Monday, I'll be delighted come the 9th August, and I'll be ecstatic by the start of September, because by then I will have lived through what to my mind is the greatest period of concentrated change energy that there's been in my lifetime, if not for many hundreds or even thousands of years.  Some clients are ringing me saying that they just want to give up now, that life is too hard, and I have to remind them that they volunteered to come here, but it falls on deaf ears most ...

2nd June 2010

We are so delicately poised at the moment.....  Korea, Pakistan, Israel - we are so close to world war.  When I look at the Astrocartography of the chart that I mentioned yesterday about 6/6, it is at its strongest over the cities of Frankfurt, Madrid and Washington DC.  Something is changing, mutating at an accelerated rate.  This is not physical, it is more cellular, it is as though there are genetic time bombs going off in our physical mainframe that are propelling us into a future that is saying change or die.  And this change is not individual, it is at the species level.  I find myself wishing (almost!) that there was a God, and that he/she/it would manifest to everyone simultaneously and tell them to stop messing around and live together.  All over the planet there are people who are so devout that they will do whatever they believe their God is asking of them, including the jealous Gods who say that there is no other God but me and that their acolytes should slay the unbeliever.  But here's a rhetorical question - what if 'God' said to everyone 'I command you to be happy and to be nice ...

1st June 2010

Truly, we are in the eye of the storm.  The sea is turning black, nations war over religion, the ‘elite' are amassing what they think is of worth.  Of this whole period that I've been spinning over two decades (if you don't know what I'm on about, where have you been?) this week followed by early August are the real nexual points, where every strand comes together in a flashpoint and either intertwines, melds and becomes unified and focussed, or reacts violently to each other and goes in opposite directions.  And now, the first week of June, is it.  I feel laserlike, cutting through layers of the onion, getting closer and closer to - what?  Don't know yet, but the closer we are the clearer it gets, and here's a symbolic time for the budding astrologers out there - the 6th June 2010 at 06.30 GMT.  To me, with the Moon, Jupiter and ...
