UPDATE here, and here and June's sun signs and videos are loaded.UPDATE OVER In these times of turbulence and violence, perhaps I can provide an astrological perspective. I have the chart for Israel (14.5.48, 16.00, Tel Aviv). Israel is a Taurus country with a wild Moon in Leo and Libra rising. This year, Pluto in the sky is opposite Israel's Venus, its ruling planet, bringing a number of transformative events in terms of behind the scenes manipulation, underhand tactics or psychological interference - these can be both to and from the chart in question. At the same time, Neptune in the sky is opposing Israel's Mars, ruling its seventh house of relating to others, bringing a two year period of confusion, illusion and deception into their one to one interactions, although it has to be said that there is also a corresponding potential for gentility, compassion and sensitivity. So both Venus and Mars, ruling relationship with both self and others in Israel's chart, are under severe pressure in ways that are driven by unconscious and deep rooted factors as much as deliberate antagonism. But these pressures are going to get a lot stronger in the short term, Mars ...

It's the weekend, there's only the usual nutcases eclectic and idiosyncratic individuals tuning in, so I can rant a bit... ‘Human history represents such a radical break with the natural systems of biological organisation that preceded it, that is must a response to an attractor that lies ahead in the temporal dimension' - so said Terence McKenna over 20 years ago. Via him I discovered the notion of 'end times' and the optional jump into higher consciousness, and at the same time I was poring over planetary tables for the next few decades and coming up with loads of different strands all connecting in mid 2010... Now I see volcanoes and earthquakes increasing, the air we breathe becoming ash laden, seeing the lubricant that oils the tectonic plates being released by human folly and I ask myself sometimes - is our time up? We've multiplied too fast, the planet is rumbling big time, and yet still we drill for oil and scar the Earth's surface and energy ...

Nice full Moon, relatively tame. Moving on - bit of mythology. Astrology gets most of its western archetypes from Greek myth. The twelve (twelve!) gods of Olympus were Aphrodite (Venus), Apollo and Artemis the twins (Sun and Moon), Ares (Mars), Athene (Pallas Athene), Demeter (Ceres), Hephaestus (Vulcan), Hera (Juno), Hermes (Mercury), Hestia (Vesta), Poseidon (Neptune) and Zeus (Jupiter). Choosing to abstain from the light and remain in the dark were Hades (Pluto) and his feminine correspondents, Persephone and Hecate. Six - Zeus, Poseidon and Hades, Demeter, Hera and Hestia were siblings, the remainder Zeus's offspring. The father of the siblings was Cronos (Saturn), old father time, who ate all of his children bar Zeus, who disembowelled his father and freed his family, and Cronos' father was Ouranus (Uranus), the original sky god, who mated with Gaia (the earth) and produced the Titans, of whom Cronos was the least mad. He also castrated his father (what is it with these Gods and penis envy?). And watching it all, on the side, another of Cronos' children Chiron, the runt of the litter, but who in the end used his own revolutionary cell of plotters (himself, Hephaestus, Pandora and Prometheus) to usurp heaven ...

Today's the day, at least from a symbolic perspective. Uranus moves into Aries for the first time since 1927, when the UK sent troops to China, when a banking crisis in Japan began the global slip into depression, when the Mississippi flooded to sixty miles wide in Memphis and when the Mafia started it's reign. It was also the time of Lang's Metropolis, Charles Lindbergh, the BBC's charter and Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, and all this in the first five months of 1927. And in May and June 1927, Jupiter and Uranus were conjunct, as now, at the start of Aries and end of Pisces. Spookily similar to current times. And to add spice to the mix, it's full Moon within the next 24 hours, in Sagittarius, so I really do expect startling changes, endings and new beginnings in the very short term future. Uranus moving into Aries, Saturn stopping its retrograde motion and moving forward, Jupiter moving into Aries and Mars finally leaving Leo after seven months, all within the next ten days. This is the peak of the second wave of change, and the one that will be seen to have the strongest effect. Results, repercussions and beginnings will ...

The idea of redemption is a fallacy - it is the sign of an immature species that wants to have its cake and eat it without clearing up the mess it makes. My redeemer liveth - in your dreams. God is a consensual resonance in the eyes of the believer, and is basically a copout. But if you want to talk about Spirit, the Divine (however you conceive it to be) or the Architect of the Multiverse, I'm your man. To my mind the Christian God died when Catholic priests crucified the astrologer Giordano Bruno upside down, nailing his tongue to the roof of his mouth and using his astrology books to fuel his pyre in 1600, something Catholicism still tries to justify. But I can prove that the speed, orbital rotation and placing of the planets in the heavens is not random, that there is order in the cosmos, but that this is not the action of a supreme being but instead the response to a higher reality, one in which the life force of every being, including the planets and especially the Sun is not only recognised but also universally accepted. I speak to 'God' every day when ...

Solid astrology today. The Jupiter/Uranus conjunction happening at the moment is bringing all types of innovative and original ideas into the world, some wacky, others almost unbelievable (the Liberals in government in the UK!). But this is something that happens every 13-14 years, so why the fuss? It's because this time the conjunction is happening at zero degrees Aries and thereabouts, the start of the Zodiac, representing the idea of initiation, beginning, start etc. Jupiter amplifies everything it touches, sometimes for positive, other times not. Uranus brings change, full stop. So a growth in change patterns is happening, and those born at the very end of Pisces, Virgo, Sag and Gemini and the beginning of Aries, Cancer, Cap and Pisces are all really knowing it, now and for the coming four weeks. I find the pace of world change profoundly unsettling and strangely ...

And it's Jupiter/Uranus, everything's mad, the Caustic Astrologer went almost too well, I think the CA represents a deep and dark side of my psyche that won't be seing that much of the light...he will return, in a few weeks, hopefully in a less full on mode. But then, I'm soaking up the gestalt through all your charts and believe me the electrostatic hum is everywhere. Just do it, be open to opportunities, whistle, look at the Sun and be as positive as possible. And if you want to feel, to re-assure yourself that you're still human, watch this. I've hesitated to put this up because of personal doubts of authenticity, but nevertheless.... And then this, within the last 24 hours. Now, you intelligent people out there - need some translation, fast. Ideas? And who says that there's not a lot happening?
21st May 2010
In brief, because I'm about to run out of the door to do the Caustic Astrologer radio show (details at the top of the home page). Everything changes Empires crumble. Markets collapse. Religions disappear. Why? Because human nature up to now has been that if it's good, keep it the same. Now there's enough of us on planet to negate that need for security. At this time in astrological evolution, we have the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction at zero Aries, and what better indication of this can we see than the collapse of the old and the birth of the new. Only yesterday comes the public announcement of scientists creating artificial life. In Huxley's Brave New World we took drugs to avoid it all, in Orwell's 1984 we became slaves to our fear of uniqueness, in Lessing's Shikasta those of us left responded to the intuitive pull towards specific geometrically shaped cities and empathic resonance. I know which I prefer. To my mind the current time and the coming few weeks through to mid August is the biggest period of concentrated and compressed change that the Earth and all of its inhabitants have seen for thousands of years, and one way or ...

OK, let's go, I'm 80% back and nearly half a stone lighter..... N. Korea torpedoing a S. Korea warship. The banks and stock exchange on fire in Thailand. Pakistan blocking Facebook and YouTube (the chart of Pakistan is really, really volatile at the moment, as are those of a number of Middle Eastern Mediterranean countries). Trouble on the streets of Athens. America becoming increasingly isolationist and heading for a double dip collapse. Markets world wide (except the US) losing 10% in a week. And a shaky coalition in the UK whose first act is to suspend rules on house selling..... The time is now, this really is the tip of the second wave of change and it's going to continue until about the 8th of next month when we'll get a (relative) breather for a few weeks until the next wave... And don't ...

Mission control here... we've got some type of clarity. He's meta-morphing, something new's emerging. Some type of temporal interference from elsewhen has distorted his physical functions (he's still sick), and he's still bouncing through time zones, but everytime he passes though us he throws us information, from which we've put together the following. 'This is it, the time of evolution, acceleration and innovation. And to celebrate this time, the pimple on top of the boil of futurism, it's a pleasure to announce the return of the Caustic Astrologer, this Friday, repeated four times in the week, for a one-off appearance. Details above.' So if you really want to know the truth about Cameron and Clegg's love child, tune in...

Day three of no coffee, no food and the search for Steve's brain goes on. Unconfirmed reports suggest that his right wing nihilist tendency and his centre left more liberal side are in secret negotiations attempting to find consensus on new common ground, but that elements of both sides are sharpening their knives in the background. There are indications that rebel factions from both sides of the lobal divide are putting a radical alternative together, but the only word from that camp so far talks of culmination this Friday, about 1 pm UK time. And there's a strange refrain in the background - 'Baby be good, do what you should, you know it'll work alright'. Any suggestions? Mission control saying more later...

Four days time.... just four. Life will never the same again
17th May 2010
UPDATE 19.00 We've got a link to him in the future, and we're getting his mental emotional and spiritual faculties into a back room and not giving him any coffee until he gets integrated again. All we're currently getting is this Friday, 1 pm. UPDATE OVER. Mission control here - the being known to many of you as Steve is up to his old tricks again. Mentally, we think he's off time travelling again, we're getting all types of garbled imagery. Emotionally he's OK, but physically his body is down - he picked up a bug in London at the weekend and is temporarily lightening his load in a number of different ways. But there's a side of him that's developed recently that is occluded to us, as though he's developing a new personality. We think he's up to something, but we don't know what. Indications are that this Friday should tell - hopefully we'll have some clarity for you before then.
14th May 2010
So that was the new Moon in Taurus - i blinked and missed it, it was a quiet one, in general being generous and benevolent, initiating new things and bringing a degree of security and stability. And if that's the ongoing outlook for the UK's new coalition, then i'm not complaining. It does seem as though some of the more right wing tactics have been neutralised, and suprisingly I find myslef cautiously optimistic about the new arrangements. And I think that's enough on British politics for the time being. Over the coming five or six days, the Sun in the sky will be squaring Neptune, and any of you who have found this last twelve months a bit nebulous, confusing or even deceptive are likely to see this coming week as a summary of the last year - good time to let things slide and slip away, but not good for a strong solid grip on reality. Time to lighten your load, not add to it. And - in six days time, he will be here, and he will play FOUR, even FIVE times.
13th May 2010
So we now live in the condemnation (sorry - UK in-joke). British politics is so boring, isn't it? When I get the chance I will certainly look at the Clegg/Cameron synastry and composite, but one little law that they've already changed is that a vote of no confidence in them now needs 55% of the vote as opposed to a straight majority - still, that's democracy for you in the new world order. I've been off seeing kids and grandkids for the first time in over a year, only back properly today, I have hundreds of emails and calls, and lots of readings overdure. I'm on the case, all will be up to date by the end of next week. I still have a few places left in Central London this weekend, drop me a line if you are interested. And a week tomorrow - oh boy, do I have a surprise for you. Cameron and Clegg's love child is only the start of it. And I will try and update on this in about ten hours or so's time... Eight days. He's coming.
12th May 2010
ConDems - love it. I've watched them falling over themselves, praising each other's party as behaving impeccably in the negotiations, and indeed, that does seem to be the case. But after forty years of memories of the Conservatives, I don't expect the leopard to change its spots overnight. When in doubt, go back to the astrology. Cameron's appointment was ratified by the Queen at 20.35 last night, and a chart for that time shows positive energy in terms of partnership and co-operation. It's a nice chart. There's little, if anything wrong with it. But. It has a Plutonian ruled Scorpio rising, and Pluto in the skies at the moment is squared to Cameron's Ascendant. The coalition may or may not last, but I suspect that Cameron has stretched just that little bit too far, and that there will be eventually backstabbing and subterfuge in his own party that will destroy him. And from next week on, we can leave this alone and move on, we've now got at least five days of relative calm before the next wave of change comes sweeping in, and in a week's time we'll be talking about something very different.
11th May 2010
'this election will throw the UK political and constitutional process into chaos and breakdown, and that the few months until the end of July will be changeable and unpredictable, with major (probably orchestrated) 'over the top' developments at the very end of May, start of June'. That's what I wrote in the last week of April. Excuse me bragging, but this has been coming for years. I truly hope that the LibDems don't go with either party, that we stick it out with a hung parliament until common sense prevails, and we get a coalition of all three parties in a government of national unity. And as for Gordon Brown - going against the flow of most of my readers, I call him an honourable man. He single handedly saved us from even worse meltdown than we currently have, both nationally and globally, and with the coming transits to Pluto to his Midheaven in the coming year or two, I suggest that he will move to one of the highest offices in the world - head of the IMF, for example. His future role has yet to peak, he will be a true man of the future for global recovery, ...
10th May 2010
UPDATE 08.45 On Friday, the UK banks lost nearly 20% of their value on the 'markets'. This morning, in less than forty five minutes, they've regained over 10%. This is indicative of what's going on elsewhere across the board. The sensible person checks their back, ensures that their roots are strong, and then from a position of strength starts fishing for that fine line of real chance. UPDATE END Another forty hours and Mercury will stop going retrograde and we can all start to breathe deeply again. Admittedly, it will take another few days to clear properly, but by the end of the week there should be clear light at the end of the tunnel. The confusion, misunderstandings and miscommunication of recent weeks has affected us all in one way or another, and in many ways the last few days have been reminiscent of August 1999, when so many people changed course forever. It isn't going to get any easier in the short term but the astrological fog and cloud that has been obscuring future potentials is beginning to shift and at least we should be able to see what's really happening within a few days. But today, with a ...
9th May 2010
UPDATE 13.05 Today's astrology is really difficult. The Moon is on Uranus and Jupiter, opposite Saturn and square Pluto for the next twelve hours, the Sun and Mars are really having a ding dong from Taurus to Leo, keep your head low and your shields up, and words are better left until tomorrow, or even Thursday when this damn Mercury retrograde will be over. UPDATE OVER Excuse my ramblings, but we in the UK are in an absolutely unique position at this time. In the old days the tribes would have donned armour, there would have been a few heads cut off and that's that for the next thirty years. Now it's civilised. My memory of it will be the flash mobs of yesterday urging Clegg to 'not sell out', a sentiment I thoroughly agree with. These are the days of chaos and instability that I have talked about in recent weeks. And the mutterings talk of how the markets need strong leadership and clarity... well screw the markets I say. I'm on my hobby horse again, but this is the downfall of the old systems, both political and economic. The idea of incessant growth and parasitic profit at the ...

5.30 in the morning - aarghh - I've had about three hours sleep - looks like we'll have a minority right wing government at the time of writing - I repeat my prediction that we're heading into political and constitutional chaos in the short term - now I'm off to drive 200 miles and do twelve readings and deliver a current lecture, will try and update later - arghh - oh no, please not Cameron...
6th May 2010
UPDATE 17.34 In the last 365 days, I've had 256,748 hits on my site, with just under 50,000 individuals visiting me. The least viewed sign was Libra, followed by (in order) Scorpio, Leo, Taurus and Aquarius (all the fixed signs), and then Aries, Capricorn, Gemini and Cancer, then Sagittarius, then Pisces, and top of the pile by a long way Virgo. Don't know what that says about Virgo, although a few choice comments do come to mind... 15% if the hits came from 131 different countries, and 85% came from Canada (7%), Australia (9%), America (23%) and the UK (46%). I had over 7,000 hits from Sydney, 23 from Hobart down under. In the US, I had 17 hits from Wyoming, and 22 from Montana, with over 8,000 from New York and over 10,000 from California. In the UK I'm ‘big in Birmingham', despite never doing well at shows there, and I had over 56,000 hits (20% of the overall total) from London, UK. And then go here ...
5th May 2010
UUPDATE 3 15.50 Colours to the wall time... go here. I'm not scared of what will happen if we change the system - I'm scared of what will happen if we don't change. UPDATE 2 12.50 UK time... me and my big mouth... the boys are back in town, it's just that town is a long way from home... go here. UPDATE 08.00 UK time - doh! Call myself an astrologer... Today, at 15.44 UK time, it's Beltane - the exact midpoint between Equinox and Solstice, one of the two oldest festivals in human history, when the young bucks who could jump the highest of fires would then take the maidens into the sacred grove... Conceptions now would be born in February, giving the infant nine months ice free to grow before the winter. It's the most fertile time of the year. UPDATE FINISHED. And there's still nothing in the fields...,. I know that the crops are three weeks behind because of the hard winter, but even so I'm beginning to get just a little worried - I would be traumatised if the crop circles didn't come back.... 'Witness those rings and roundelays of theirs which yet remain, ...
4th May 2010
Too busy working to blog.... I reiterate what I said recently - the horoscope for the closing of the polls this Thursday suggests that not only major political change is coming, but also major constitutional change. And I note that the Queen surrendered her right and the rights of all her descendants to appoint a Prime Minister in the event of a hung parliament just a few days before the first television debate - that will rile up the conspiracy theorists amongst you. And - as promised, here's the link to my radio broadcast from the other day - go here.
3rd May 2010
5.45 in the morning, just running out to my next gig.... A brief return to an old favourite now, the horoscope of Prince Charles. As many of you know I've been saying for over twenty years that if he ever becomes king, it will be for weeks. He has the Sun/Chiron conjunction, his chart suggests that secretly he wants to stay with wife and vegetables in his country estate and become a holistic farmer. Fine, but king? Never. The Queen will outdo Victoria, she has the chart of a true monarch (Saturn on the Midheaven), she'll die on the throne, and Charles will quickly pass the throne to one of his sons. Ah, but which one? I'll address this in detail in a few weeks time, but for the next two or three days I'm concentrating on the astrology of the British general election.
1st May 2010
Tempting providence here... just sent out my first newsletter for nearly six months (if you want one, just send 'newsletter' to steve@stevejudd.com), just loaded all the sun signs, and just loaded lots of new free videos for your perusal - all on a Mercury retrograde! I wait with bated breath.... This is going to be the month that finally gets us up to speed. We can make our lives anew now, or we can reel and quake from the effects of others on our lives. Humans being, or human beings? Get ready to soar....lift off imminent. As i have just written in the newsletter, we as a species are responding to a kind of genetic imperative hardwired into our system and triggered by planetary positions into a wake up call that we've been waiting for thousands of years for, and it's our privilege to se the changing face of history in a way that our ancestors have dreamt of for millenia. No more drills or practises, this is the real thing. May to August 2010 is astrology's 2012 - let's make it memorable for all the right reasons!
