20th October 2009

Saturn is about to enter Libra, where it will stay for a few months before retrograding in the late spring and early summer (northern hemisphere) into Virgo before entering Libra properly in July, right through until the end of 2012.  Although Saturn doesn't have a lighthearted reputation, Libra is perhaps the best position in the sky for him.  The idea of balance, sharing and teamwork affected by Saturn's energy of structure, formation and hard work is suggestive of voluntary ties and bonds forming between individuals and groups over the coming three years.  I mean, Virgo and Saturn is OK, but it does nitpickyness about perfection to the point where efficiency can be sacrificed for the small detail (is that a polite way of saying anal?).  Saturn entering Libra gives me hope, at least from next September onwards from when it will finish its ongoing and upcoming difficult angles to both Uranus and Pluto.  In the meantime those of you born from September 20th to the 27th and March 17th to the 24th had best get ready, because Saturn is coming to stay for a time, and choices are going to become more urgent and less optional.

I too,am a Virgo and am SO ready to be shut of Saturn...last month in particular was truly excruciating. Two cracked molars, a dead monitor, bad cell phone, expensive car trouble. The piece de resistance was thebuilding where I had my shop got closed down...am going to look at real estate today....

I'm really not looking forward to this at all - lots of astrologers are giving me the creeps with dire warnings of impending awfulness - I cant bear to read about it anymore so thanks for a bit of good news and a softer approach, Hope you're doing better these days too :) Regards, Alison (Libra obviously)

I am a virgo. I've had a tough time when Saturn was in my sign. Since Saturn is ready to enter Libra and my ascendant is Libra, will Saturn continue to give me a tough time?

Icing on the cake... thank you for the reiterated warning... as the options are already down to a count down to 0 for the next day or so.... I am waiting for the Uni to respond on a potential part-time job (and not putting my hopes up).... that will be closure of a whole year of efforts building relationships and continue to work on and off with these guys...... couldn't have put more effort into that....banging my head against the wall as there is no positive response on any efforts of engagement that I have made... Talking about Saturn entering Libra and balancing relationships, I feel I have been at it already for a long time.... offering to do voluntary work for Shelter, they don't even bother acknowledging or responding... local authority 'sustainable community agenda' and action groups: it has taken them 1 year to put a group together (on Business, Education and Worklessness - their choice of heading!) and they are now endlessly trying to 'resolve' the problem of chairmanship before starting (pathetic and unbelievable).. I have a feeling this will never take off... So dead donkey here too.... Personal life, I am certainly single .. more than totally single.... and more... the tightening of the FSA rule for mortgages which means that it will be difficult in mid-fifties unemployed to face the re-mortgaging of the house next May even if I manage to keep afloat... SO... what is left of choices that are supposed to become more urgent and less optional.... apart from Prosac and day time television, I wonder!? Pressed into radical direct action?.. Not much 'balance' here... Cornered more like Saturn! Get out of my way! I have had it!...Don't know if some of you remember the words of the song .. was it John Armatrading.."Don't stand in my way, let me pass"..

The only thing I can say is that after having Saturn in my sign for the past 2 1/2 years, it is not the challenges we face that is important, but, the way we respond to the challenges. This alone determines what we have learned and is an ongoing learning experience.
