Fate or free will, that's always the paradox in astrology. If you've got the majority of planets on the left of your chart, you're free will and self determination, whilst the right hand side of the chart is fate and pre determination. And although I'm an astrologer and theoretically should strive for the middle ground, everything in my chart is on the left so I'm hopelessly biased towards personal responsibility. And in a weird way, that leads me to broach for the first time a new subject, that of the coming political chaos in the UK and the resultant hung parliament, and the potential changes in our political system at a fundamental level that this situation would bring. A hung parliament.... I think it would be great. There would be no extremist policies. And anything that brings us towards the ultimate goal of proportional representation has to be welcome. Or am I completely off beam here?

any change in this two horse tennis match has got to be good, the idea that maintaining the status quo at all costs is outdated and wide open to a comfortable state of corruption
From chaos comes order, I think there might be a lot more chaos on the cards xx

Oh yes yes yes!
Hang parliament! Yes please - let it be so. Steve, is it in the stars, really and truly ? Might we be edging towards proportional thingy just a bit ?
I recall my father fervently wishing it might be so (about 40 years ago under labour) and then more recently after Maggie had been in for a very short time.
Chaos is good - remember: "and the earth was without form, and void ... and darkness was upon the face of the deep ..." and then look what happened. Light!
Fingers - or ballot papers - crossed.

Half way through reading todays' blog, i received an email (timeing a bit of an odd one) from an old mate of mine, it reads:
World's Shortest Fairy Tale
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?' The girl said, 'NO!' And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and went fishing and hunting and played golf a lot and drank beer and whiskey and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
The end
I wonder what side of our fairytale hero's chart is loaded?

Proportional representation would be by far the best form of government. All you would need is a computer in each home, internet, 6o -odd million usernames and passwords and a system of being able to vote on every issue. You could do away with politicians altogther! And it's probably the best way to move from our old fashioned rescoursed based economy to a greener and more sustainable technology based system, something along the lines of the venus project. Viola! A new political party is born! Not sure if powerful families such as the Rothschilds or the Windsors would like it much though!
As for a hung parliament - great idea! I'll get the rope.
