Hearing about the new driverless taxis at Heathrow pushed a few buttons...  When I said that private car ownership was likely to be almost non existent in ten years, a number of you took me to task.  Not only do I maintain that idea, I've worked on it.  Cars (pods) run on electricity and driven by a computer satellite link up, coming from a central depot to your home when you dial for one.  Get in the pod and enter the post code of where you want to go and it takes you the quickest route at a regular speed whilst you watch TV, work on your laptop, whatever.  Eliminates accidents, makes planning easy.  It's going to happen, watch this space.        And Iran.  As I said a few months ago, once you start shooting your own people, you're finished as a power.  And the way that the youth are adapting to challenge there is wonderful.  Jupiter will hit Iran's Moon/Venus/Saturn t-square in the first week or two of February, so let's see what happens then.  I smell regime change, or at least a strong stab at it.  Shame it's not also happening in that most tortured of states, Zimbabwe, where the butchers still rule.       And Tony Blair.  As a few of you remember, I blogged incessantly about his chart during 2003/4, and I still regard him as a war criminal who was basically conned by the right wing religious fervour coming from the USA at the time.  He lied to the public to suit his ends, and once again he is rewriting history to suit his own agenda.  If I wasn't so sickened by him and his ilk and the mess he got us into, I'd probably write more about it.  And I guess I will as he prepares to come before the Iraq inquiry in January.
