14th December 2009

Dawn this morning, walking to work, saw a bright green flash across the sky and thought 'what'?  Then i found out about the Geminids meteor shower that we're in the middle of and all thoughts of Armeggedon or UFO's disappeared...  In reply to certain comments - I do astrology 24/7, and my blog isn't only about astrology, it's also about my meanderings on the unusual aspects of the world, and I know that 'normal' people don't read this, those that do have a more idiosyncratic way of seeing the world and, like me, celebrate their difference by expressing it in some way.  So if it's only pure astrology you want and nor occasional ramblings and mutterings, go elsewhere.  Everyone's good at something, and the horoscope does show what it is, and when to maximise and minimise that talent.  I'm good with pattern recognition, geometry and intuition, so astrology and other 'out of this world' phenomena are right up my tree.  And - the coming lunar eclipse of the 31st December - its no big deal, honest.  Far more important is the solar eclipse two weeks after on the 15th January, of which more later.  And - this is the final call for orders before the festive season.  All orders for charts, readings, CD sets and reading gift vouchers received by end of play tomorrow will be processed in the next few days and in the post by Thursday.  Solstice looms.  And like every year, I'll be at Stonehenge so perhaps see some of you there?

Dear Steve this wanna be priest comment sounds a bit hostile - why ? From whom ? Anyway, I don't think you're a false prophet so thanks for reassuring me about hogmanay !!! It is a weight off my mind (now please DO tell us about your take on the solar eclipse) (you really have left that one hanging). Lots of people can do meanderings, not many can do astrology worth attending to, so tuff thats why I read your blog - even if you are flatulent (are You?) you got into the poem with the arrogant greats and the genuine astro's . Take it as a compliment: its been years since anyone's written poetry about me.

I guess all the new wanna-be-priests of the false prophet time span have to be at Stonehenge. At least to see and collect the new breed of 'sheep', holding the new sermons on the mountain. Round the stones and in the blogs that is this time. All the best, the world probably derserves no better. People always preferred oracles rather than taking responsibility. Blame it on the planets ... And, yes, I know, as we are already (since 10th Dec) in the Mercury days which have to be reinspected during the retro-phase, happy to do that concerning my comment. I hope I didn't disclose 'confidential oracle drama details'...

There have always been beliefs and their systems, People believe in systems of religion, non religion, astrology, monetary systems, UFOS, Fairys, football, etc etc. We all believe in something, it is the way we make sense of a world which , in this mode of existence, we will never truly understand. All systems, religious and otherwise are made by people, there is good stuff in there and not so good. So in the true spirit of midwinter lets wish everyone and their beliefs the peace to follow them and not try and force them onto everyone else. We all need meaning in this life, and the means to grow. x

For goodness sake- what on earth is wrong with going to Stonehenge at winter solstice? I am definitely not a wannabe priest nor would I ever listen to one- I am just drawn to the area as it is fascinating- its history is probably the oldest in the UK. And no we are not all sheep.Indeed I for one am very grateful that there are astrologers like Steve and Jonathan Cainer (who both go to Stonehenge), and both make us all more aware of the spiritual side of life. Do you know perhaps there would be far less wars if people could just live and let live and tolerate each others beliefs. And do enlighten us what is a confidential oracle drama?

Well Steve, I for one like your meanderings. You have made me realise that I am not the only one out there interested in religion and crop circles, so keep on blogging, your way.

I really resonate with whoever wrote above saying we all need meaning in life and the means to grow. What a thought provoking statement-indeed the whole blog is so wise. I love the term midwinter- it makes me think of the English countryside in winter- peaceful and magical.....
