27th December 2009

I find it highly sychronistic that as the Sun in the sky hits the Saturn/Pluto square, challenging all forms of structured authority, so there is another attempt at the Pope.  It was a woman, so of course she was mentally disturbed.  If it had been a man, he would have been labelled a terrorist.  And as the current Mercury retrograde is flirting with Pluto on and off for another three weeks, expect further developments involving subversive(Pluto) news(Mercury), i.e. more travel problems, less clear information and vested agendas in that information that is presented to us.  For a couple of months now I've been advising clients that January would be a time of mixed news and communications and that reality will not prevail until the end of January, by which time I anticipate resolution in Iran and a convenient media frenzy around the ongoing UK Iraq inquiry.

Despite my wish to spend Yuletide without becoming embroiled in politics- I am so sad at happenings in Iran... so feel compelled to comment...It's happened again- reports of four people being shot at in yesterdays demonstrations- just like the young girl who was shot dead in similar demonstrations in Tehran a few months ago...And I wonder what was the fate of the 100 people held to be tried in a court after those earlier demonstrations- has the court case happened does anyone know? Back to the season of Yuletide, last night moonlight shone sharply in my window, which set me thinking about English medieval builders- they apparently designed small windows on upper floors of houses because of superstition connected with moon beams....

Speaking of English medieval superstition...my grandmother, who hailed from northern Spain, was very superstitious about moonbeams. She would say that to let moonbeams shine on you while you slept would eventually make a person crazy...a lunatic.

The windows were probably small because the rooms were not heated (unless they were very rich) and the cold came in through them - apart from any supertstition about moonlight. I rushed to my computer yesterday to try and find out what's happening in Iran and ended up watching really interesting stuff on aljazeera about other issues in the Middle East (all things are connected)

Dear Steve, I'm having a particularly bad M rx : so far car problems unexpected brakes + ditto exhaust; tel. probs. ; internet connection probs. - whats this about pluto ??? Which specific dates does M flirt with P.? I think the woman/ pope is a good omen the goddess fighting back against male aggression and oppression because this year she got him down !!! HOORAYY also both years she wore red tops symbolic of the goddess; power;good luck. Superstitions: you are not supposed to look at the new moon thru' glass. The energies of moonlight are well known to be both different and more subtle from and equally powerful as sunlight and some crystals need to be cleaned by one and not the other. It depends on the magical intent. Pairs of Owls are the companions of Athena goddess of war and wisdom :she is sometimes found with 2 doves when in intellectual mode (I read pigeons as nearest equivalent) .Some of the oldest known versions of the mother goddess were known as either bird or snake goddesses of which Athena is a more recent and civilised version. There was an ancient bird goddess who took/takes away babies from delivering mothers resulting in stillborn and newborn deaths. If I can start a debate, I'd like to know people's views on the destiny fate of astrology versus when we have more room to manouvre and can make a difference with free will. According to some, having planets on one side of the chart rather than the other gives you more destiny moments and less free will mattering. ???
