I'm involved with Birthday Matcher (here) for a number of different reasons, but one of them is not about putting people sharing the same date and year of birth together for the purpose of relationship.  If you were partnered with your astrological twin, you would soon find that you cancel each other out.  Comments I've had are like 'He/she was nothing like me', or 'They reminded me of who I used to be', or even better 'I'm not like that at all-am I?'  Firstly, there's the idea that you need external stimulus in relationship to ingnite your template, and someone the same will only create stasis.  And secondly, there's the prince and the pauper syndrome, two babies born same moment, same space, but one has a privileged upbringing and the other grows up in the gutter, so their choice of relationship wil be different.  Environment, upbringing and conditioning play a bigger part of early life than the horoscope - the horoscope only really kicks in when you leave home, whether you're fifteen or fifty.  So share your birthday with your partner, but same day AND same year probably won't work.  UPDATE: Imagine meeting your twin, but brought up in a different continent and environment, and sharing with them your life experiences.  You may have nothing in common on the surface, but your responses to events and stimuli would be the same, or near as damn it.  Imagine how you could both grow as individuals with the benefit of each other's experiences.  Imagine the parties you could have.  I have a number of clients who share birthdays with celebrities, it's fascinating to see the similarities and the differences.

Data. Pattern recognition. Hopefully, money. And putting people in touch with each other. Enough? SJ

Hi Steve, Hope you don't mind me asking more questions about Birthday Matcher-1) Astrological twin- how can they be unless their time and place of birth are known? Also-2) reasons for you being connected with them- Data- hopefully that doesn't mean information of your clients will be shared with them...Pattern recognition- well you seem extremely accurate with that already- otherwise you wouldn't be such an expert in your field...sorry I am just confused presumably this site is for putting people in contact? I worked with two people born the same day as me- NOT the same year- it was interesting how we had all worked in advertising/PR and journalism all our lives..and we certainly shared some personality traits.... PS Any tips on dating and astrology signs- i.e if you are a Pisces it isnt so simple as just looking for another water sign?

Hi Steve great post today. Tomorrow, could you elaborate on why the horoscope only really kicks in when people leave home?

I have just watched your video yearly forecast for Pisces,(had only watched the monthly one before..) and my previous happy upbeat mood for the New Year is in tatters-I am now tearful- what's this stuff about Pisces born after the 17th March are at serious risk, and shouldnt make long term commitments? Serious risk of what? I cannot face yet another year of everything in transition- not knowing if I will have long lasting employment/relationship etc It sounds as if all Pisces born before March 17th have very beneficial aspects round them, but the rest of us well...I think I will jsut go to sleep all year like Mole in Wind of the Willows...

I went to school with a girl who had the same birthday (and year) as me AND we had the same first name AND we had the same second name initial AND we had the same surname initial. Last year, some forty years after we'd left high school, I got an email: do you remember me and, given our shared initials, names and birthdays, I'd love to know how your life has been. So I called her and we had a long conversation. Neither of us had ever married, nor had children, our grandmothers died when we were the same age, we live very far from where we were raised and we both had successful careers in fields we supposedly weren't prepared in. It went on and on. I found the experience profoundly consoling, almost as if I'd found a sister and, once again, thought: ah, astrology! On the other hand, I was reading tarot and doing basic birthday/ephemeris astrology on a psychic line about 18 years ago and spoke with a woman with my birthday -- nothing but nothing in common! In that experience, I would have had the "prince" experience and hers would have been the "pauper." What I wish for the people you connect to have is the first experience I related! All the very best to you in this new year.

I shared a birthday with my aunt, obviously many years apart. Everybody loved her, and she was the warm, loving, caring, wise one of the family. She taught me one of her hobbies when I was still quite young. She was also known for her cake-making. I love making cakes, and followed the other hobby for many years. I used to wonder if I was sub-consciously emulating her. Now I know myself much better, I know that these traits are inherent in me. We are alike, in our own rights. However, my twin son and daughter are like opposites in so many ways!!
