Astrological compatability.  'I'm a Gemini, you're a Capricorn - we don't get on'.  Utter drivel.  First and foremost, every chart therefore every person's tastes are different, there is no common factor.  But - here's some rules of thumb.  The sign opposite your Ascendant is often the one you get on best with.  The sign that Venus, and to a lesser extent Juno are in your chart show signs that you generally get on with.  The sign that Saturn is in your chart shows the sign you normally don't get on with, unless there's a multiple of a seven year gap between you.  And here's the secret weapon in synastry - if your Moons are in the same sign, you will feel the same things at the same time and enjoy similar experiences and sensations, and both go up and down in mood swings at the same time as each other.  Moon sign compatability is much more important than Sun sign compatability, because the Sun is about your individualty whereas the Moon shows how you get on with people at the emotional level.  UPDATE 16.45  Just watched the full Moon rising in the East, in the space of ten minutes it went from orange-rust through gold to yellow and now white...  I think the pubs, clubs, hospitals and police stations are going to be busy...  the sensible person stays in and has a private howl, there are nutters on the streets tonight.

Hi Steve, So is there any way to figure out someone's Moon or does that take knowing and doing the math as to when and where they were born, time... etc. All of us with Gemini moon, I guess we can raise our hands both up and down for tons of mixed feelings!:) It looks like I probably still won't be able to play those videos as they are using Quick Time, so far not appearing to be accessible. If you ever have them in mp3, or transcribed, I can take them in. I'm going to keep trying on this end. Thanks for sending...

good question. The Moon changes sign every two and a half days, so you need to either get an ephemeris, a table of planetary places at the daily level, or just punch their birthdate into a free chart site such as astrodienst and use a midday borth time to get a rough idea of where their moon is.

Is there a rule of thumb about one person's moon conjunct another's sun? Take care all.

another excellent question. The single best aspect for compatability is when one persons Moon is on the other's Sun. Natural and organic harmony.

Well I expect I will be at the bottom of the class for this question! What does that mean "one persons moon is on the others sun"- please could you give an example? For instance if I have moon in cancer-

OMG- I saw a sight this evening that I will never forget- the moon was just rising, and it was the largest full moon I have ever seen in my life-it was there- just above the horizon-I was for a moment awe-struck at this powerful reminder of the wonders of the universe ... if I hadn't been on the way to an appointment, I would have stood and watched for as long as I could.....
