2nd February 2010

Sometimes I despair about the negativity i get from some of the contributors to my blog.  I won't block them, but i find it so sad that three quarters of the contributions are all about how hard their lives are and how the universe owes them a living.  I'm no different sometimes, but at the end of the day my catchphrase stands: negativity can't exist where there is humour.  So what if the world is coming to an end?  At the end of the day, regardless of situation, I have the choice of being happy or unhappy, and I prefer being happy because it makes me feel good!  Simplistic, I know, but I am a simple man.  And - today, my website is eight years old - the longest continuous blogging astrological website in the world, so many many thanks to all my freinds and clients who have encouraged me to keep going.  Onwards!  UPDATE At 13.42 GMT today, things change as the Moon moves into Libra and conjoins with Saturn.  There will be decisions....

I agree Steve we have the choice to get out of bed in the morning or not. Sometimes that is more difficult than others but we have the choice if we smile at others and treat them with love and respect. Lets give thanks for this body on this earth at this time what a gift!

Congratulations on 8 years Steve. I enjoy your blog enormously. Some people are never happier than when they are making other peoples lives a misery. Not content to just be miserable on their own, they like to spread it around. It shows your strength of character, that you even put up with these people. They should cultivate a little gratitude into their lives, the universe owes them nothing. It's what you give that counts.

Congratulations on eight years blogging, well done. Please keep going! It takes a lot of energy to keep yourself in a negative frame of mind. Might as well smile, much easier. Don't worry about the sads, just don't join them.

SJ here - added extra. I publish more than ninety percent - those I don't are either spam or nutters. Those I publish are not sad, they are a valuable reflection of the pendulum of time. Reality checks are important.

Very Happy Eighth Birthday Blog Steve and long may you continue to offer us very wise words. As for the ''negative ones'' - well we all have negative stuff in our lives and some days are way harder than others, but I believe we all chose to be here at this time, so we either 'get on with it' or give up gracefully, without imposing negative vibes onto others.

I guess if one is a negative person, it must be hard if not impossible to be positive or just look on the bright side. As you say, some people do think the Universe owes them a living. In fact all they need to do is ask the Universe nicely and they might be very surprised. It's strange how many people still think the Grass is greener on the other side, but fail to realise, it is just as hard to mow. Once we realise how lucky we are, the luck comes thick and fast. Keep up the good work Steve. You might not realise just how many of us tune in each day. Thank you for the new video forecasts.

In defence of the undefended... everyone goes through phases, yes? One minute/week/year you're up, the next down, yes? I'm grateful that Steve gives us the hard stuff as well as the other, where else do intelligent people who are currently going through hard times get an outlet?

Happy Blog Birthday. I've been following your blogs regularly for several years and they are the best! So keep on doing what you're doing, because what you say is very important in terms of giving a real picture as opposed to a fanciful one where everything is so wonderful. There are those who talk a lot without saying anything in particular and I'd rather read someone who does actually say something meaningful, even if I don't want to hear it. xx

Hello Steve, I have been following your website a bit and been trying to embrace the theory of law of attraction, living in the NOW and all other spiritual practices given my recent health status and the lost of my loved ones and family in recent months. It is this life changing experience that has allowed me to prioritize and realize what is most important. My ATTITUDE. With that said, I have yet to experience your services and am on a waiting list to hear back from you. Staying positive and hoping you can give me some additional guidance through your services and I too can be a faithful follower and believer. Congrats on your accomplishments.

Steve: I used to be one of those people who was perennially discouraged. The older adults in my family, who had lost parents, and gone through the Great Depression and WW II were far more positive. After a personal crisis involving heartbreaking loss and change, I started to get help. I prayed and did a lot of reading, writing and thinking. Over time, the spirit of goodness in the universe seemed to reach out and comfort me. I discovered that I had hidden strength, too. Now I am more grateful for what I have. This is the human journey - to find joy after suffering. People just need time to come to this awareness. Best wishes, all. Take heart!

My Dear Steve! MANY,MANY HAPPY RETURNS to you and your website! Wish you much love and strength to continue "Onwards..and upwards.." :-)))) And also wish you could see me smiling as I read your blog, and especially one line of it today...-After much searching for a little apartment to buy within my limited budget-yesterday- at exactly the time you mention (-also happens to be conjunct my Saturn, and NNode/Mercury conjunct my Ascendant and Jupiter rolling over my Moon and on towards my Venus,Jupiter, Mars, NNode stellium...) on a hunch, I went to see a place I saw advertised -without even calling first -and it's just right -decisions were made on the spot!!! Thank you for the confirmation! Judith

Congratulations on the 8 years! As a newcomer to your site I'm finding it all very interesting and thoughtprovoking...I feel privileged to have met you. The wordsmith is spreading positive ideas and do we all need them, or what? Thank you. Life does kick us where it hurts, but then that is kind of the plan for being here isn't it? I can't get doomy about 2012, or the end of the world, because endings are only the bit that goes together with beginnings. Maybe if humanity contrives to remove itself from planet earth it takes the fast lane to a higher dimension of awareness? Mother Earth just might take a huge sigh of relief before we actually stop her from breathing!Negativity cannot exsist without positivity,- the fact that it's not so obviously on display doesn't mean it isn't there.Perhaps it's just so much easier to hone in on what we feel is bad or difficult and overlook the good bits. Now why would we do that? Who loaded that program? So what if I'm having a good day? PS Obviously from a Venusian point of view, the solar system will look more colourful, you know, prettier, if Pluto looks red. Will keep coming back because it's a good place to visit, Bless, Ella
