8th February 2010

As some of you know, for many years I've suggested that 2010 is the crunch point for humanity, as opposed to 2012 or any other year.  Now I'm increasingly being asked to nail my colours to the wall and be specific.  We have time.  But not years, or even many months.  Astrologically, the timetable (or my interpretation of it) has advanced and in about 13-14 weeks from now, at the end of May, something unique will happen, something that's never happened before.  And I still maintain that this is the end, not of trade and profit, but of global capitalism and consumerism in its current form.  More on this over the coming week or two.  More currently - we watched over the weekend the coverage of the Tea Party in the USA.  When someone said 'where's the non white folk' we quickly realised that everyone there seemed to be white, rich, protestant and middle aged or older.  That's what I call a healthy demographic - not.  Now - this week.  All week there's an ongoing finger of fate between Jupiter, Saturn and retrograde Mars, so no economic clarity will ensue.  And as the end of the week approaches, so the confusion gets worse with the coming new Moon on Neptune on the 14th.  There are big meetings on Thursday and Friday to 'sort out Europe's economic mess'.  Forget it, isn't going to happen, any decision made then will likely exacerbate the situation, not improve it.  Regarding the PIGS situation - (Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain) - astrologically there is definitely the sniff of trouble in the air.  Any further supression economically will lead to further calls to burn, close limit the banks.  And this is only the start.  I believe that we are on the threshold of the most important moment in human history, and that any future based on competition as opposed to co-operation will only further fragment the global community.  Mutual co-operatives are likely to prosper, although it pains me to sound like Gordon Brown.  This is the death knell for excess and inhumane profit at the expense of others.  In my simple and naive way, I'd like to make a suggestion that I believe would change the world overnight - everyone, unilaterally, closes their arms manufacturing facilities.  I've had it up to here with enemies.  No more war, no more guns, no more enemies.  And if we taught astrology and philosophy in schools, warfare would be eradicated within thirty years.  And I'm ranting again.........  EXTRA 13.10 UK time.  Three things.  1).  Thanks very much for the lovely comments, but NO I am not interested in public office at this time or for the foreseeable future under present rules.  2).  I am condensing my weekend into one day, and suddenly find myself in the northern home counties and midlands of England on Sunday with a free day.  Anyone want to organise a quick group readings day?  And 3).  I don't condone or condemn this, but the passion of the audience and the integrity of the speaker stands for itself.  I am an astrologer, I cannot condone any type of violence, but this guy speaks for me.

...but it's important to rant, at least a bit! Sometimes, not ranting can leave me in doubt, but listening to you shouting it loud and proud shakes that off!

Great post, Steve; truly the best in my opinion since I started reading your blog two years ago. I certainly hope this pivotal event you expect in May is perhaps ET related, rather than some false flag terror attack or complete economic meltdown, though the latter would make a lot of sense within the context of the current realities. I'm sure we need to get through some kind of fundamental financial cleansing process before we can set something up on a more human and indeed humane and sustainable scale.

If only- a world without wars- as the song says..." No more wars- all we want is some peace in this world..."(Why can't we live together" Timmy Thomas)- a B side of an old record I bought years ago... But hey will it ever happen? Without divine intervention no... we need powerful people like Bertrand Russell back on this planet to promote world peace.Like he said "Either man will destroy war or war will destroy man" Because of my concern at the American arms deal with Taiwan leading up to some sort of Cuban missile crisis I have been reading up about Bertrand Russell's intervention at that time; I didnt realise how much he became involved with the American and Russian presidents - he was hugely influential. PIGS- for goodness sake why cant we all just get out of Europe-its not doing anything for GB - and I am disturbed by Giscard d'Estaing who says "Public opinion wil be led to adopt without knowing it(Lisbon Treaty)the proposals that we dare not present them..." More lies and deceit, more white wash- no wonder there is social unrest and are wars... I am exhausted today- and why? Enemies- my next door neighbours, toffee nosed arrogant selfish people( whose main concern is a huge collection of bird tables, feeders, baths, houses-complete with twee accessories),who dont care that they've given me weeks of broken nights....even though Ive treated them with the utmost consideration..I'm at the point where if I could empty their garden of birds I would get a rifle and shoot down all of it!!. see what I mean about wars-

Peace, balance, integrity, wisdom are all to be found inside ourselves, deep within, the part we reach when we are still and quiet. Not much point waiting to be rescued by others, we need to sort out our individual selves first and be true to our values. I can't be responsible for anybody but me, so sort me out first. Imagine if 75% of people did this - taking responsibility for themselves. That would be 75% of the country/world holding fast to their values, to truth, to wisdom, to their integrity. Far fetched, absolutely - now. Who knows in the future. Imagine peace, love, kindness, happiness, empathy as norms. But we live in duality, the opposite poles prevail too. It's the nature of this world. Every act of love, kindness, generosity, and all things positive help to tip the balance into positivity instead of negativity. Imagine a set of scales - pile up the positivity. Every little bit helps.

I am so very disheartened because I truly believe that war will never be stopped. It will destroy us. It has existed as long as humanity has existed. Unfortunately, it has led to progress in a very painful and difficult way. But sometimes war can not be avoided. My generation didn't live during WWII but that was a war in which people like Hitler had to be stopped. Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam wars are/were being fought for different reasons, not clear reasons. However, we as americans can do very little to stop it. Should we absolve our Govt? I don't know anyone who is for the war, but there we are. If any country is racist, though its England. America at least was formed to bring an equal footing to every man. I do love my country with its faults, and take umbridge to people like you who aren't americans telling us how to live. As far as the Tea Party is concerned, how dare you make a judgement about it being racist. Don't believe all the BBC, news and TV, programs you happen to not know all the truth. It a little more than white people trying to assert themselves again. Maybe the term Tea Party sets off an image that Britain might think of as a "Revolutionary", therefore it may seem quite objectionable to you. But not to us. Sorry. Again, though I want to make it clear, most ordinary American, rich, poor, white black etc. don't want to be in other countries at all. My husband has lost lots of business due to outsourcing. we are all feeling quite helpless and hopeless here in America at this moment. Tea Parties are one step toward trying to find a leader who is going to help us, find the peace we need in this world. But I don't think it is going to work. The only answer is reaching out to comfort others not kill or criticize them to make oneself feel superior.

Well Steve I hope the turning point includes taking care of Tax Havens once and for all. It is time to curtain 'corruption' sanctioned by the ideology of the 'free market'........ We have potentially (with the political will) a solution to go through an economic transition.. and the eradication of tax havens and changes in the rules of corporate reporting are not impossible to enforce.... see... And so, here is an extract from a report produced by professionals on Tax Havens published on the site of the Tax Justice Networks: "As in the USA, the largest user of tax havens in every country surveyed was a bank. In the USA the largest user was Citigroup, in the UK it was Barclays plc, in France it was BNP Paribas and in the Netherlands ING. ING was also the largest single user of tax havens, with more than 2600 tax haven subsidiaries, putting it comfortably ahead of every other company in the survey. However, this may reflect a different pattern of recognising a subsidiary on its part from that used elsewhere.” ............. and: “….the amount of funds held offshore by individuals is about $11.5 trillion – with a resulting annual loss of tax revenue on the income from these assets of about 250 billion dollars. This is five times what the World Bank estimated in 2002 was needed to address the UN Millenium Development Goal of halving world poverty by 2015. This much money could also pay to transform the world’s energy infrastructure to tackle climate change.” We need to restructure to gather the resources to take effective action on change, economic, social and for the environment..... A new era is dawning... we need to make it happen. No half-backed intentions will do. WE need to put our actions where our intentions are... Steve, How well you have said it all; if only the powers to be had your insight. The economy is not improving and the unemployment rate is increasing (over here you get 1yr, then its gone so those over one year are not counted). Even nurses are unable to find jobs. That's a bad economy!
