Forty eight hours to new Moon in Aquarius, and this particular new Moon has many different layers to it. On the one hand, it's conjunct both Neptune and Chiron, neither of which really like Aquarius, and this can bring the capacity for global gullibility and avoidance to a height - the wool pulled over the eyes. It can also bring a flood, hopefully of empathy, compassion and benevolence as well as a rebirth of spirituality. it's the second of a set of three new Moons that are changing the world gestalt, acros the board. The first new (eclipsed) Moon a month ago provided the trigger, this one brings the dissolution and releasing, and the next new Moon (conjunct Uranus) in mid March is the real deal, with major new beginnings representative of the 21st century. But here's another way of seeing things that I've just noticed - at the time of new Moon on Sunday morning, all bar four planets are in a small segment of the sky, less than nine percent. And the planets outside of this small segment are the 'men', Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto, whilst those within that segment are more feminine. The Moon and Sun together makes the Sun briefly more feminine and receptive, Neptune and Venus are definitely more sensual and emotive, Mercury and Chiron are androgynous, and Jupiter, although male, is quite benefic and generous in Pisces and with Venus. So all the gentle, kind, generous, nuturing, empathic and feminine energy is in one small area of the sky, as though it's having a summit of its own from which the more macho elements are excluded. From my perspective, fascinating, although I totally understand if few if any of you see or even care about this. But for individuals, this new Moon is going to directly affect one to one relationships that have been under stress since the start of November, and I expect this to tbe the antithesis of St Valentine's day for many. Sorry!

Thought for the day from a Piscean-Don't feel anywhere near such powerful emotions around the time of this new moon as I did at the last full moon- and I will never forget the sight of that rising just above the horizon.Felt confident, healthy, full of life- as if I could accomplish anything then, now a distinct lack of confidence and strangely flat and uninspired- is this astrology or my age-I am a woman after all in her fifties. I feel 20 years younger in my mind....I am sitting here listening to Taio Cruz- s'pose I should be really listening to some boring old rubbish at my age.....no never I will never retire or become old in my ways- yah boo to all that!
Talking of planets, saw an image of Saturn today as seen through the hubble telescope- what an amazing sight- .A few mornings back I woke very early and my favourite constellation of them all was as clear as crystal in the night sky- Lira-Lira has always been a guide to me of the seasons- don't know why....Isn't the universe/ world around us incredible- whoever whatever designed all this has to be something totally awesome....

Hi Steve, just got the chart on screen - 11.00am 14th Feb. What a configuration of planets!: that stellium (the ladies' summit!) around the Aquarius/Pisces cusp forms a quincunx to Mars on the IC and a sextile to Pluto, which in turn forms a quincunx to Mars. That's the first yod. Mars and Saturn are also in sextile and in quincunx to the Stellium. There's the second yod. Saturn and Pluto are in square and thus we have a regular trapezium. And with Mars on the IC Mercury is on the MC in opposition. The Boy planets seem very strategically placed to act as anchor men supporting the Girls. Which is how it should be. Am I totally barmy?

Hi Steve - you were spot on about this being the antithesis to Valentine's day.. I had yet another fall-out with my 'man friend' and I don't want to believe it, but I think he has manipulated and deceived me again. I am a Libran fool who fell for a Scorpio schemer! Any advice would be appreciated...
