According to the family tree I have in my possesion, the brother of my eleven times grandfather was one Oliver Cromwell, and apparently even my skull shape is similar to his. Our charts are totally different, fortunately - I get the impression that the guy didn't have a lot of fun. Lord Protector to some, hated by others, really Saturnine by nature. His conversion to anti-catholicism came suddenly, when he was being treated for depression aged 29 , the first Saturn return. Died of malaria at 59, the second Saturn return. The conjunction of Venus, Saturn and Neptune in his chart in his sunsign of Taurus brought an almost socialist attitude based around the wrongness of inequality and value. Unfortunately, I cannot source a birth time for him. When Cromwell and others in the New Model Army launched the civil war in 1641 there were less than ten astronomical/astrological almanacs in print - eight years later there were thousands. These mainly ended up on a nail in the privy, but the information was out of the bag. Cromwell used astrologers to inspire his troops with predictions of victory (as did the King). Co-incidence, synchronicity - whatever. From the time of the civil war, astrology has been out of the bag big time. And although I don't do linear re-incarnation, i find myself with an almost obsessive interest with this cruel man who nevertheless changed the history of the English speaking world.

Died of Malaria? Does this have something to say about global warming?
I think of the Puritan's as a big back lash to the excesses of the royalists, though at that time the royalists came out on top, perhaps this time the "living simply" group will win out over excess materialism sector.
