26th February 2010

Further to yesterday's comments - the chart of a mass murderer or master criminal can be exactly the same as the chart of a saint or avatar, it's the intent of the person that selects their path, not the stars.  The planets impel, not compel, and the chart is merely a blueprint of potential.  The 1954-58 generation collectively opened the doors, the generations of the mid sixties were the pathfinders.  The 2010 generation will be the true explorers of both inner and outer space.  Meantime, that doesn't pay the food bills.  The coming full Moon will be expansive in many ways, it's a time of growth and positive opportunity as long as you only take two thirds of what's available as being real and of substance, whether this is in personal situations or in the global politic.  Should be good, and how often do you hear me say that.  More later, I suspect. 18.40 hrs.  Bright yellow full Moon rising over the hills to the east of Bath, with a fiery bright red Mars directly overhead, underneath Castor and Pollux in Gemini.  Part of the creation myth is in full view, proud and sultry Mars in Leo sulking as he stands still at the very start of Leo, with the Moon also in Leo pulling out his childlike side, and the stars of Gemini saying 'come out and play!'  There is pure magic up there, and the patterns reflected onto the Earth and into us are so enigmatic - we can choose to corrupt or empower.  Sometimes I pander between fate and free will, but other times like right now, under the view of a powerful Mars, I can't help but nail my colours to the mast.  Destiny has had its day, the future is in the imagination, it is free will, and I/we can empower it constantly in the moment.  Sounds too simple to be true, but some of the wisdom from the sages whom I am honoured to publish in my blog only pushes me onwards.  Thank you, for all that you do.

One ship sails East, another West, By the self same wind they blow Tis the set of the sail, and not the gale That determines which way they go

just a little riff on the idea of "the set of the sail". Consider the small adjustment in the angle of the rudder, a teeny shift, a huge change in destination. So enjoyed annie and ernie's description of primroses and green green grasses. chao

Well Steve, your recent forecast about large volumes of water was so accurate- as I write an earthquake has struck Chile causing a tsunami and the whole of the Pacific is on alert, also other areas...here in the UK there are forecasts of very heavy rain and various flood warnings... Really like the rhyme above.....

Hi Steve; I remember writing you a couple of times during 2009 harping (!) on the fact that the days leading up to March 10, 2010 would be very intense due to Mars' direct station in early Leo within a degree of the position of the total solar eclipse of July 22, 2009. You were saying at the time you did not think the eclipse was a big astrological factor, but some astrologers felt it was extraordinarily powerful, being the longest TSE in terms of maximum ''total'' duration of the 21st Century, and also because it was tightly conjunct the karmic South Node or Ketu as it is called in Vedic astrology. (There was another factor adding to the TSE's potency which I have forgotten for the moment.) So Mars' direct station is right on Ketu's position, very close to the luminaries at the time of last summer's eclipse. And today, less than two weeks ahead of Mars' reactivation of the TSE-South Node degree, there has been an 8.8 magnitude earthquake near Santiago in Chile...of course the continuing close conjunction of Chiron-Neptune (and now Mercury in them mix) would add to the tsunami effect predicted there and also apparently in Hawaii. I've often found that subsequent transits by slower moving planets to eclipse degrees, even up to many months later, can be quite eventful. My Dad passed away at the time of last summer's TSE right on my natal Jupiter, which btw represents the father in Jyotish. Regards, Elizabeth in Montreal
