EXTRA 10.45 am.  A big, big thank you to Jonathan Cainer, for giving me such a big profile on his home page.  In eight years of blogging I've never actively complimented another astrologer, but of all the 'populist' press sun sign astrologers, he is the only one I would ever countenance or credit with substance.  As he acknowledges, our styles are different but similar, he really does know his stuff.....

08.45 am. I'm constantly reminding clients that astrology doesn't predict as much as suggest and imply, that personal free will is the driving force behind personal development, not some lump of rock or gas in the sky.  But at the same time I marvel.....  Today already I've done two Astrocartography readings.  One was with a very demure, sophisiticated and seemingly delicate elderly English rose for whom her astrocartography strongly suggested that a line from Rangoon to Kuala Lumpur to Singapore to Jakarta was easily the best location for her in terms of both romance and finance.  When I tentatively mentioned this she stunned me by saying that she had lived in all these cities, married there, had her own business and made her money before retiring to the UK in the 1990's.  And another, more localised tale - a client this morning, with Uranus opposing his Sun, was telling me that he felt oppressed and under a dark cloud where he was living in the midlands of the UK.  I looked and saw that Saturn was directly overhead in that town when he was born, and suggested he move.  He asked me where in the UK would be best, and when I picked out the area between Barnstable and Exeter he said that this was where he always used to holiday as a kid, that he had only been down there last week feeling how clean it was and how he would like to live there.  And - first reports of the recent full Moon.  Evocative funerals, major relationship breakdowns, huge waves of feeling and emotion and only this morning is the first sign of sanity returning...

Ahhh, Steve - this no doubt underlines why I find it so hard to be anywhere but London. I am an aries with gemini rising, and I understand London is a gemini city. When I leave it, I can't wait to return - in spite of the terrible things that are done to it. Continued power to your astrological elbow, matey. You make great reading.

Dear Steve, Just a reminder, when you're doing Jonathon's predictions, that down here in the Southern Hemisphere we usually have them posted earlier.

A fascinating "thought for the day"- really interesting that where a person lives can be so affected by astrology. Do you have any examples(without obviously releasing confidential details ) of situations where your astrocartography clients have found a move to a new area much more positive in terms of career/personal life/health etc? I would and I am sure the other visitors to this site would be interested to know.... Your writing style is excellent Steve- I love your use of words- "countenance"-this is a word I have only come across once in a book written in the 1800's- and is a favourite word of mine- and your description of the "English rose lady" is superb. Some years ago my son had to do a comparison of a famous childrens book written in the early 1900's then rewritten in the 1950's and again in the 1980's)- it was so sad that so many of the words used in the earlier versions had been dropped by the 1980's version... I digress- oh and I love Jonathan Cainer's take on your surname today Steve!!
