Good question from yesterday's blog - when is the moment of birth? To my mind, it's when the child takes its first individual breath after being born and having the cord cut. The first breath as an individual - I think it's called prana by the buddhists. And today - five planets in Pisces, with a strong and emotionally powerful Moon in Scorpio bringing a number of opportunities - today is a good day for feeling, emotion, senistivity and sensuality, instinct and primarily intuition. It's a day where gut instinct and body impulse are more reliable than the logical and rational mind when it comes to making decisions. Having said that, those Pisces and Virgos born between the 1st and 6th of March and the 2nd and 7th of September are in a right state, where they could easily overreach, over spend, put on weight or go over the top in a number of different ways. This is one side of the effects of Jupiter in Pisces at this time. The other side of the same coin is that the same birthdays can be having a great time, full of optimism, growth, expansion and indulgence - but still, the message is clear - don't over expand. Take two thirds of what is happening around you as of substance and all will be well.

Hi Steve, Slightly out of context but; I have read the Chilean Earth quake has shifted the earths axis, does this then affect the planetary alignments? Is the prediction by some of a massive axial shift and earth climate change in 2012 possible? And what then of any alignments? Cheers.

Hi Steve - I'm a Pisces (21st Feb) with Scorpio in both Moon and Rising signs. AND yes, I've felt that I've overdone things, overspent and have put on a few pounds (after losing 2st. last year). I always read JC, but after reading you in the Mail sometime ago I make sure I look at your monthly horoscopes too. Lynn x

Hi Steve, Still confused abouththe thime of birth. Often the child will breath, maybe for several minutes before the cord is cut. So do we count from the moment of that first breath? It is an independant breath, even if the cord is still attached, as the cord 'collapses' as it were and therefore blood from the mother can no longer pass betwen her and the child. The earth's axis could not have been shifted by the Chilean earthquake because it was too shallow for one thing, and for another, it occurred in a part of the world which is well known to have earthquakes and more likely was part of a "domino effect" from the Haitian earthquake. There will be more in the Pacific Basin in the coming weeks and months because of this natural phenomenon. Do you honestly think that every time there is an earthquake the earth's axis is so unstable it would shift every time? Please, be serious and don't behave like children believing more media lies!!

Steve: Interesting that you mention "time" and 2012 seems to come up in the posts. I have always thought that the Mayan Calendar does not mean the end of the world, but the end of "time" and how we relate to it. Time is accelerating and it seems like a month ago was yesterday. Maybe, by 2012, time will be going so fast we can no longer track it as we do now.??? Thus, the "end of time."
