17th March 2010

UPDATE:  My personal nemesis last September was my critical mass with the taxman, as many of you know.  Since then business has stabilised with a three/four percent profit on last year.   Many people helped me out at that time, and I want to repay them.  So I'm asking regular readers for ideas.  Daily forecasts by subscription?  Weekly email personal forecasts?  E-books on micro payments?  Ideas welcome. UPDATE  FINISHED   The symbols for the planets are a mixture of circle, crescent, cross, line and dot --with the exception of Chiron, for which a "k" rising out of a circle or heart is used, looking like a key.  I prefer to stick with tradition, and I use the upwardly turned crescent on top of the cross on top of the circle.  The circle stands for soul, complete and unique, the crescent for spirit, open to the universal energy, and the cross for matter and the material world.  Chiron is the wounded healer, so it makes sense to me that to join soul and spirit, we must do it through matter.  Look at the house and aspects of Chiron in your chart.  Stop being fluffy in this area and deal with challenges in a practical and grounded way.  How can you help heal anyone else if you're not in good working order yourself?  Chiron is where you don't like yourself, where the potential for disintegration and fragmentation is strong, but also where the need for assimilation, integration and holism is most needed in order to facilitate the healing process.  When you've healed yourself, there's a planet out there needing your attention!

Well Steve ... I would not be against paying a subscription for a weekly/monthly forecast. But nor would I mind more knowledge on symbols and houses and aspects etc. so that I could understand better.Thanks.

Dare I suggest (gulp) advertising? There are some really ethical and green groups and businesses out there trying to make the world a better place. Perhaps a seperate page for adverts and/or links?

from SJ.... Advertising,... hmmm. In theory, yes. I get 1,000 hits a day and 500 a day on the video's,and growing. I have 20,000 words down on the book. But monthly written forecasts with a chapter of the teach yourself manual each month - that's an idea.

Hi Steve and readers: I'd be interested in an e-book if it's mostly astrology. As for advertising from green groups and businesses, as suggested above - hey, why not?! As long as your home page is not so ''busy'' that we lose sight of the forest for the trees...You will need to cultivate a larger readership for this to be a realistic option, but I've noted an EXPLOSION of excellent ''new age'' sites on the 'Net recently and have a feeling any venture of quality such as yours will rise to a whole other level sooner rather than later, with Jupiter-Uranus in the 1st degree of Aries (!)paving the way.

Curiouser and curiouser- - only yesterday I was thinking that it would be really good to have an "ask an astrological question" section of this site- whereby readers could e-mail a definite question(obviously a limit on words) for a certain amount of money and then they get an e-mail answer to that question... but whatever you do has to be weighed up very carefully- what is going to be the least time consuming for you for the greatest return. Clearly I am not an astrologer so I don't know how time consuming this sort of work is- but I think this could prove to be very popular-and I don't know if this is possible- and I dont suppose they might all give away this information, but finding out from other astrologers what the current market trends are- what is popular I have other ideas to and will e-mail you them in a day or two- the planetary energy around me today has left my mind on information overload-

Totally off the subject of coming up with a way of making some cash mind is blank at the moment. I was wondering is it just me or does it feel like a revolution is taking place world wide the ways of controlling people money, government and religion seem to be falling apart and nobody trusts these anymore. I know you have always said we're in a period of change but is anybody else noticing this?

I would have thought any sort of subscription, daily (if you've got the time to do it) or weekly. Certainly weekly personal by subscription.

The weekly email personal forecasts jumped out at me... to be honest though - not sure about others out there, but last year I stripped back on all recurring luxury payments, and vowed to keep monthly/recuring payments in my life to a minimum... a little here and a little there - it doesnt take long for them to creep up, and before long you hit a week where you cant afford food... For now... I'd personally like to stick to the annual forecast service where I can.

Carrying on from yesterday- another astrologer has an "ask a question"section for £20.00 with a currency conversion with answers delivered by e-mail within two days....There is also a section for testimonials- surely that would be a major benefit... Just at a time when only yesterday I am being asked to return to work in advertising at a struggling publication but I just am so unsure....

hi, SUBJECT: "Turning Point" Please say things are going to turn out all right by April's Fool's. Am really trying my best not to view the upcoming changes too negatively as the March /April cusp creeps up on us, but have this weird pressure in my upper chest, an ominous feeling and the words, "The Ides of March" in my head all the same.... perhaps Spring's milder temperatures could lessen the impact .... Always great to read you!

I'd certainly like weekly personal forecasts on subscription. Advertising would also be a good way to get ethical groups, organisations and shops out there to the rest of us who might not realise they exist, thereby helping everyone.

Dear Steve, I would pay for daily forcasts! I loved hearing from you on Jonathan's website a few weeks ago. Your forcasts are so helpful. Especially when you give realistic time frames for when things in the works on now will come to fruition, etc.

How about an e-magazine instead of a book that issues monthly? Articles on your astrological take on world affairs, financial, a section for learning astrology. That way, later, you can have others contribute & not be working so hard by yourself. I like your honesty & "tell it like it is" style.

I would certainly be supportive of subscriptions services.. also I thinkw we have all learned to live with advertising on our web. I too would love to learn more into how to read my chart, no background at all,so even some of your simpler explanations flies over my head... of course I could buy books and learn, but somehow something else gets in the way, Short tutorials would be fun.

I would be interested in several of the suggestions made having already had the basic reading and waiting to read the first of my readings for the year. An e-zine with eclectic content monthly or quarterly with outside contributors in addition to your own would be very interesting. I would also value the opportunity to purchase a reading on a specific subject/issue.
