In the last two days the Sun has moved over the Equinox point into Aries. As soon as it did this, the Sun opposed Saturn, trined Mars and is still squaring Pluto. This suggests that within the last 48 hours there's a new dynamic in town, and over the last two days people have suddenly becoming more proactive. I suggest that this is a representative time of a greater push for personal empowerment as a precursor for greater community interaction, perhaps as shown by yesterday's events in the USA. For a nation to care for its people regardless of cost, race, wealth or religion is a fundamental human right and the mark of a civilised people. This coming week, the main astrological theme is that of personal action, with Mars moving forward finally in Leo, and the Sun, Mercury and Venus all in Aries. Fiery, active and dynamic. But for the medium term - watch the starting four month conjunction of Ceres and Pluto, just beginning in early Capricorn. It's the one thing that could change everything - food supply and distribution.

Hi Steve
What a historic day and wonderful news. The USA can finally begin to call itself civilised after voting through the historic bill of health. I totally agree with you that healthcare free at the point of receipt is a fundamental human right and that 10 million people across the USA will now be able to do this is truly remarkable.
I also listened to your lecture on astrology and your remarks regarding Cameron resonated with my thoughts, Dodgy Dave? I wouldn't trust that man to sell me a working second hand car.

A historic day indeed. What an incredible achievement- President Obama should be very proud- and yes I agree free healthcare should be a basic right for everyone. It all reminds me of ( one of my heroes)Martin Luther King's memorable speech "I have a dream". However there is a lot of opposition to this reform...I have been reading an article in a British newspaper online entitled "A dark day for America"- how can the writer say that- how would he feel if he or his family was ill and couldn't afford to see a dcotor...he says that this healthcare reform will ruin the US- and a number of the bloggers agree with him....Some of the blogs are really nasty-

To the above- pontificating, pedantic utter b******s My comparison of President Obama and Martin Luther King was to do with their vision for the future - not their ability to deliver speeches. their speeches. One would assume you are wealthy enough to pay for private healthcare- what if you couldn't? What would you do? Do you have no feeling for the underprivileged in your nation?

Well, the Congress voted for health care reform last night. However, I am sorry to say that we are still not civilized, yet...we still need to get over calling those who would improve our country racist epithets...Cheers!

Hello Steve,
I really had wondered for weeks what would be ushered in by this equinox. I am delighted that universal healthcare is well on the road to reality as of yesterday. To me, the concern is not so much that healthcare be free, but that it be accessible to those with prior conditions that have precluded their having any healthcare under our current system.
Also, under our current system, it is very easy for someone to lose everything and go bankrupt because of medical expenses. In a "civilized" country like ours, that simply should not be allowed to happen.
Many of my friends are conservative and believe passage of this healthcare bill is terrible. To them I reply, please give up one day or one week of George Bush's illegal war (that they support). The cost-savings from that could easily support healthcare for all who need it.
In our news this morning it is reported that America's private insurance companies are worried about the value of their stock declining. I'll bet they are.
For me, this spring equinox heralded the birth of a new and better day.

Steve, I admire your astrological and spiritual interpretations, but I am disturbed by the number of whacky Communists who are commenting here.
The reality is that the healthcare bill will financially penalize far too many ordinary people while enriching Corporate Healthcare companies. The legislation will also enable a Big Brother scenario to be imposed upon the population (e.g., ID cards with Retina scan data, etc). If people want to be healthy, why don't they learn to grow up first and take better care of themselves in order to avoid Big Pharma? The healthcare corporates are getting ready to be shoved down the throats of citizens once Obama's legislation comes into effect.
As for equating Obama to Martin Luther King and his speech, "I have a dream" ... LOL ... should we assume this commenter has no idea of the inability of Obama to stitch more than four words together, in public, without the aid of a teleprompter?

Steve,
I want to reply to the last poster who mentioned "Big Pharma." Under George Bush, a prescription drug program was added to Medicare, our medical program for disabled and elderly people. In doing so, instead of contracting with "Big Pharma" to supply prescription drugs at contracted prices as large medical insurance companies do, George Bush OK'ed paying full retail to BP as they supplied Medicare patients. It is about time, someone did something to rein in Big Pharma!

Hey Steve, I didn't realise (until now) how your forum had been hijacked by those same type of people who sit in on World Bank forums/studies. Seriously political hey? Do you think this signals a shift toward western politics consciously utilising the services of astrologers? Or is it simply part of the marketing machine employed by the status quo? (ie the usual approach to social engineering)

I find it interesting that the term 'whacky communists' should be used for those who seem to care a bit about their fellow human beings.

The best way for people to demonstrate care for others (if they are truly sincere) is to do it directly, using their own hands and heart, and within their own communities. Those who attempt to feign 'care' by committing themselves to nebulous political gestures controlled, far away, by evil politicians (whose provenance you haven't even bothered to check out properly) are causing real problems for all of us.
Barack Obama is an empty suit. He was a nobody politician with a junior track record until he was catapulted into the White House by Chicago organized crime masquerading as politicians. To understand Obama you must understand Axelrod and Rahm Emmanuel. 80 percent of those who voted for Obama did so simply because he is 'Black'. Pathetic. Chicago, his political home, has remained under the control of the Mob (and I don't mean the Italian Mafia) ever since the 1920s. It's just that they found it more profitable to take over city and state politics instead of running speakeasies and moonshine bars.
Obama's Health Care Bill has in truth been drawn up to save the American Insurance industry who have been losing $-millions ever since 2001. Have you not even heard of AIG? It was AIG losses that helped kick start the 2008 collapse of the American economy. A provision in the Healthcare bill requires that everyone must buy insurance (compulsory). Most people cannot afford to do this. But the legislation states that if they fail to purchase, they will be fined. What this scam actually means is that the big insurance companies will be bailed out using the money gathered from a "tax on living" imposed on everyone in America! Such arrangements could never be described as 'caring' for people. What are the planetary configurations in a Natal Chart for stupidity, naivety, and ignorance?
