1st July 2010

I can't see outside of the moment, I'm so caught up in what's going on in the heavens and the ways in which others are being affected by it that it feels as though I'm being consumed by the waves of energy around.  In mid August I'm going to lie in a field for ten days to recharge, but for now there's no place I'd rather be than in the thick of it, knowing that I'm seeing history made in a way that my ancestors have waited for thousands of years for.  We're entering the month that I believe will change the course of human history, that everything that's been building since August 1999 is aimed at, and that will bring the end of capitalism as we've known it so far.  This is the nexus point of transformation, from here we either enter the matrix/cyborg/big brother world or we go down the route of empathy, elevated consciousness and community concern.  Politicians, bankers, priests have all had their day, it is the time of self empowerment and individual responsibility.  If you've ever allowed magic and power into your life, do it this month, because slow it isn't and the more we get towards the start of August the more critical it's going to be.  Oh.  What's that?  You want nice, soft safe astrology?  How about this - by mid September LATEST things will be resolved one way or another, and from then on there will be a lot less tension and stress around.  But what state will we be in by then?

PERSONAL NOTE.  Late last week Mr. Birthday Matcher, who makes my videos happen, got diagnosed with the big C and is not good.  So last night I drove 200 miles to Swansea and got new videos recorded - they're a bit raw, so forewarned is forearmed.  And inevitably, after eight years of astrological blogging, it's getting to me.  Soon now I'm going to start charging micro payments for much of my stuff (not the blog), because I'm worth it, so don't give me grief when this happens.  I'm a one man band remember.

Out of the last 2000 years of history, capitalism has had about a 300 year run. Socialism, as in all the power in the hands of a few, has been going on the entire time. It always leads to equal misery for all. Capitalism is not the enemy, immorality is. No government can fix that. I am hoping that the current astrology is a sign that the human race is becoming mature enough to handle capitalism.

Steve; Am guessing that your lunar eclipse incident, however it went down on the surface, may have involved your acting as a catalyst for some necessary change. Don't forget that the lunar eclipse was conjunct Pluto = Shiva = destroyer of ingnorance = the great purifier. So you may have been the agent for needed change. The free will versus fate conversation among your readers yesterday was very interesting. I have no particular viewpoint on it, but in my years of learning astrology by reading people's charts, I have come to feel that our ''karma'' is really our deeply entrenched psychological patterns, which in turn are reflected by the planetary patterns in the chart. Over time, some of our most challenging issues, as revealed by the chart configurations, also provide clues to our innate skills, talents and gifts. For example, the glyph (symbol) for Chiron, representing our so-called ''unhealable wound'' is a key, i.e,. it unlocks the secrets of the chart. It is often said that Chiron reveals our deepest wounding as well as the gift we have to share. All of this may relate to free will versus destiny in that it's how you choose to work with the energies in your chart that determines the outcomes. For example, for me the toughest transits have always been those by Neptune to my chart, but as time goes by, with increasing self-knowledge, I am able to handle these transits with much less drama and trauma, more insight and even some good stuff - if I'm open enough to the changes that the transit is requiring. Resistance to change seems to be the reason we find transits by Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto to be so difficult at times.

Valuing yourself means you have to charge reasonable fees for your services or people won't value what they get. You have bills to pay just like everybody else. What do others charge? Are you as good as them? (Yes!) Courage brings rewards which brings the means to buy newer technology as and when required, help when you get so rushed off your feet you need staff, etc. Go for it! You can always keep certain aspects of what you do free to all, up to you. Good luck.

On a personal level, it's interesting that you mention August 1999 as the starting point for all this transformational energy, as it's the very month that I swapped one career for another. And guess what - that second career has been going belly-up for the past 8 months or so, and is now just about dead and buried. Which means that I'm now waiting for my next brilliant career to come along. With Sagittarius rising, it doesn't look like I'll have to wait long.

Steve, I essentially agree with and applaud the Comment >> Thursday, 1st July 2010 07:55, particularly the point about morality (or the lack of it). But, I disagree on his/her terminology. We tend to misunderstand and therefore misuse the following terms: Capitalism, Socialism, Communism, Zionism, and Democracy. People are always confusing "Free Enterprise" and "Capitalism". Capitalism is the evil ... the banker dominated system where a small elite have a financial system built specially for themselves, where they can sit on their butts, producing nothing, yet earning millions on endless casino type bets (stock markets, derivatives, Forex, etc.). Socialism (the supposed antidote) was never the answer because it is a top-down approach, where another elite sits around a politburo type table to pass edicts the rest of us feel obliged to follow to avoid being made to feel "anti-social". If the unfolding astrological patterns are correct, then for the power to be in our hands, and for us to take personal responsibility, we must all join together (informally) TO BUILD A GENUINE FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM. Continued State centralization (whether New Labour or Conservative, Republican or Democrat) will be the death of us. Taking care of the LOCAL must be our first priority. For example. Neither I or YOU can fix Africa, and it is about time we all stopped being so damned childish pretending we can. Africa must learn to fix itself free of endless, patronizing, outside intervention. If I or you focus on Africa (or India), then we are neglecting to take care of our own localities, where our true and first responsibilities lie, because only what we do locally has a direct influence on outcome. This is my sincere belief anyway. I hope others can join with me; if not all the way, then perhaps two-thirds the way. P.S. A belated happy birthday Steve!
