I see people having a hard time when Saturn and Pluto hammer them, and sometimes I se people have good times when Jupiter brings an element of fortune. Swings and roundabouts, there is no sure fire way of gauranteeing success. And I'm reminded of the proverb 'Be careful what you wish for, lest it come true'. Three days until the solar eclipse, it's far too early in the morning for me to be awake let alone blogging, I'm away at Secret World today, but one thing that sems to be getting stronger and stronger is the notion of parents. Dying, returning from the distance, interfering or helping. I suspect that the eclipse (in Cancer, sign of home and family) is bringing a lot of endings and new beginnings, particularly to things that happened many years or even decades ago. And - go here and here for latest formations in Germany, here for the north of England, and here to learn how to square the circle.

That's really interesting Steve, yesterday I got an offer for my Mum's appartment, the first for 18 months. Mum is in a nursing home with alzheimers and very near the end, so I'm told. So I'm wondering whether this weekend with the eclipse will be the release she has been waiting for. The last big adventure.I read somewhere that geminis will have family secrets revealed to them, and the skeleton in my mum's closet goes back to 1944......so I'm really curious now. I know the secret but others don't. Mandyx

I don't know what I wish for anymore, Steve, other than something other than 'this'...
Being *hammered* by Pluto for the last two years or more and I'm not even sure which direction I should be facing to see the light anymore...

Fabulous crop circles!!And as for parents, it is the cycle of life and there are more of us that have reached an age that not long ago was 'old age' and most of us are lucky enough to still have parents that into their 90's are still living on their own, interfering & helping all the way down to great granchildren.I've also given a thought to the 'hammering' is it really?or is that not just 'life'.Life is change it is not static. We are all in some way the walking wounded. With that in mind we march on with understanding &compassion, every now and then we hit a wall but the key is to move on, give your best. You are in control of yourself and that's where it starts.Thank you Steve, and fellow commenters, you're teaching me.Mar19(BTW my dad, thanks to medical advances, should recover well from his stroke.A call to us to get ready & appreciate him while we still have him)

Well it's what they call a 'soft' morning here (Sat 10th). Thick mist, drips falling from the leaves, and incredibly quiet.
Which is more than can be said for everything else, not quiet at all. Though I have to say, it all seems to be 'potential' changes rather than real ones. Ideas are flowing, words are flying about, but still day-to-day life is the same.
Lots of talk about disasters about to happen, economic collapse, tsunamies, changes in the world order, the end of oil, etc. but still each day is the same as yesterday. Am I expecting too much? Or just too soon? Time to listen to the quiet, soak up the peaceful atmosphere of West Cork, Ireland, and maybe think about taking up my friend Tim's offer of starting a bee hive.

With the imminent total solar eclispe and the slow ''tightening'' of the grip of the cardinal t-square/grand cross by late July-early August, I have never, ever, ever heard of so many dramatic changes in people lives as in the last few weeks. Divorces, job losses, scandals, secrets revealed, sudden or unexpected events, life-changing decisions of all kinds. I've never witnessed anything like the current pace or intensity of change in people's lives. A little online research into the ''asteroid goddess'' Juno was called for, since she tightly conjoins the two luminaries at the time of Sunday's total solar eclipse. Most astrologers are talking about how this signifies a release of outmoded relationship patterns, with the Sun and Moon conjunct Juno and the South Node = what we are letting go of. But it turns out that Juno was also sometimes named Juno Moneta. Since her temple in Rome was near the empire's mint (i.e., the place where coins were minted!), the word money comes from her name. Hence, she has been considered to be the protectress of finances. Equally intriguing is that Juno Moneta actually means ''she who warns'' (of imminent dangers, disasters, etc.) So, will we witness relationships formed or dissolved, financial issues at the forefront, or perhaps the other more challenging events of which Juno is supposedly the harbinger? Ain't astrology fun?! Elizabeth in Montreal, Canada, where it is very, very hot right now...

I would concur with an acceleration in change ... I am quite prepared to be called a 'moaner', and to be told that I should smile... That's fine, no problem.... but I think that in the current wave of changes Saturn (in a reassertion of the 'old order' of neo-liberal, free market ideology and capitalism) is currently "winning", if I can put it this way... we are regressing. People are not as free as they may wish to believe and not getting freer. The NHS in England is likely to be entering its preparatory phase for privatisation, money talks... AND BIG. I think more people should look at the Wealth Management report published by Merrill Lynch to understand that somehow, a VERY SMALL section of the world population is growing wealthier at a rate they will never be able to spend their net cash (!!)and just this very fact at a time when we are being brainwashed about 'we are all in this together' and people are loosing their jobs, should actually wake us all up... or so you would think! As for this disturbed man, he is being build up by the media... and in fact, I believe that if he hadn't been put on centre stage by them, day after day... they put the whole country on alert almost.. while it was a local matter which could have been handled safely for the locality without splashing it over the BBC news 24 hours a day a regular interval, like a live show, then it would have panned out differently. Psychological, they created a lot of what he became and how it ended. Appalling.
