A UK centred theme tonight. What does a Scorpio full Moon do? It uncovers the corruption that lies beneath… Pigs and related issues have been big news recently, but the current round of exposes that many of this country’s elected politicians have been to some extent corrupted by the sleaze and moral tawdriness that has pervaded the higher echelons of society is representative of pigs with their noses in the trough. We know that the bankers have ripped us all off, they’re profit mongers. But the politicians are elected to serve, not to swindle and cheat through interpreting the law to their own advantage – or is it that all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others? I’d love to see parliament dissolved, and new elections held not along party lines but in ways that emphasise the willing transparency of all potential politicians. Everything, but everything must become transparent. Every single one of us must have our monies, expenses, perks and wages available for scrutiny. This will initially cause anger, but in a brief period of time will be a great leveller. Priests abusing our children, bankers stealing our money, politicians milking the system – at the end of the day, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. And on a separate theme, under a Scorpio full Moon with Jupiter and Neptune coming together in a spiritually growthful way, what are the chances of the Pope building a bridge with Islam and Judaism on his visits to Israel and Palestine in the next few days? About as good as him getting bumped of, methinks….. Actually, the latter potential is stronger. And - this happened within the last 48.  The meaning is on the tip of my brain/tongue, but I can't quite get it.  Anyone?

Steve, Excellent rhetoric! This is quite a co-incidence.It must be the Scorpio full moon- Yesterday, for the first time in a long time, I felt very moved to e-mail one of the daily newspapers,(joining many angry people from all over the UK)to ask that Parliament is dissolved now....I suggested that we desparately need parliamentary reform on a big scale, so that we never have a system in place again that allows such corrupt and greedy people to be our leaders for any length of time.I also suggested that we have an automatic right to referundums on major issues, such as the inexorable march to a European superstate, Iraq wars etc Democracy is finished, what is going on that represents it? Nothing. It comes to something when an innocent bystander is murdered by a policeman in a peaceful march(the G20 demonstration),that the Heathrow runway was given the go-ahead, (and that again was only allowed because of alleged large sums of money changing hands between certain MP's and prominent businesssmen; meanwhile crime is out of control,(I cannot believe that the goverment didn't pass immediate emergency legislation when the teenage knife stabbing were happening last year- unemployment is at record levels Meanwhile the government doesn't take global warming seriously, our countryside is threatened by these proposed wind farms everywhere, when surely it would be far better to be researching into other alternatives like solar power? Whatever happened to "England this green and sceptred isle" What happened to standards in the government? We are mean't to have absolute trust in these MP's to be of upstanding character..... Locally things are no better, I started a campaign some years ago to resist a major housing development on some beautiful countryside protected by covenants. We collected over 30,000 objections, which the council then said several months later they "lost" Again, one or two people will make millions out of the sale of this land....I drove past this land earlier, beautiful hedgerows full of May flower..... I feel so sad, not for me, but for my children, everyone's children..... What is the answer? By the way you say power corrupts, but not all great leader have been corrupt- and anyway how about Obama? To me he looks like he is a truly decent man....
