For many Virgos, Pisces, Geminis and Sagittarians, the last eight months have been a time of considerable stress, tension and pressure. The roots of this lie in the years 2002-4, where the Plutonian intensity and extremes forced you into shapeshifting in a way that hurt so bad that you survived, but only by going into limbo. 2007/8 brought you back out of limbo courtesy of Uranus' dramatic energies, and since September 2008 through to the present time and for the short term future, Saturn is examining every single development of the last seven years and testing it for validity. Those things, people, situations and environments that pass this test will stay around long term, those that don't won't. And the date that this Saturnine exam finishes obviously depends on your individual chart, but recent pressure will be off one way or another by mid August at the very latest. Saturn's in Virgo, so where better to go? Fussy, critical, analytical, anal, they like to think of themselves as pristine and untainted, but they all have dirty socks under the bed somewhere. Most of them are so phobic of body odour that they sterilise themselves regulary. If you want to get them out of your hair, give them a large and complicated jigsaw - it'll occupy them for weeks. Meticulous about hygeine, they know the location of everything in their home. So when they're not around, go into their bathroom and move everything an inch or so in any direction. Leave the cap off of the toothpaste, forget to do the washing up, smell bad, all these things will put a Virgo off of you for life. These poor misguided souls think that they're here to improve the standards of everyone else - actually, they're here to learn that just like everyone else, they occupy a human body with its foibles and the sooner they forget about perfection and assimilate themselves with their body, the more integrated they become.

I'm not a Virgo, but I have Virgo rising and I totally relate to the obsession with neatness and hygeine. I wish I didn't have this, because even I hate that I'm so weird about it.

Thank you Steve, your ability to distill the ambiguity, to wrench the windows of possibility from the hurricane winds of insanity is amazing. and as for those crop circles....they are us. Say hello to days of future passed.

I am a Virgo-rising of a Virgo mother. This cleanliness thing has something to do with shame...we are ashamed of humanness. Body. etc. Because I am a Scorpio sun and moon... I am highly connected to my body -- in a different gear... so somehow I have a dual track in my head -- of full appreciation for the human foibles of others including their naturalness...if they are my own children or love. And everyone else grosses me out! It's actually great -- makes me a faithful woman who can't go in any other space but that which belongs to me and my loins. It's lovely. My mother... ? She's has so many idiosyncracies you have to know her to appreciate that they are all a response to something natural she's endured organically. And a lot of that has to do with shame, too.
