Tragic story from the UK yesterday of the eight year old crippled by a car accident when he was one, dying of meningitis, and his parents taking his body and throwing themselves, him and his toys off of a high cliff into the sea.  I thought I was too dry for that feeling any more, but it made me cry in empathy with the unfairness of it all sometimes.  And - go here.  Then go here.  Yesterday I accidentally started a new set of comments with Neptune, so let's continue in that vein with Pluto.  Those born with Pluto rising on the Ascendant have an intensity and depth to them that scares a lot of people away, although it does sort the wimps out.  There can be the dangers of obsession or phobia/paranoia when younger, giving way to an unstoppable will power and determination when older.  Regular metaphorical death and rebirth, burning away and eliminating the dross, unusually effective and incisive, and absolutely no messing whatsoever.  All or nothing, truth or bust.  Geoffrey Archer, Richard Branson, G W Bush, Kurt Cobain, Peter Gabriel, Judy Garland, Martha Graham, Eddie Izzard, Steve Martin, Al Pacino, Michael Palin, Christopher Reeve, Nancy Sinatra, Racquel Welch.

Well, I think it takes a lot of guts for a man to admit that such a tragedy moved him to tears.Good on you Steve. I too, and I'm sure many others feel deeply saddened by what happened to this family. You're right, WHY? Similarly I was also in tears over the 13 year old footballer- Jamal, who was stabbed to death last week. Why oh why haven't the Government done something to prevent this? There's been far to many teenage fatal murders over the last couple of years. How dare they just sit there and do nothing? They seem to accept that this is now the "norm". Another life, someone with grieving parents, brothers sisters etc, just to be forgotten in the dusty pages of yesterdays newspapers....

To quote above: 'Why oh why haven't the Government done something to prevent this? There's been far to many teenage fatal murders over the last couple of years. How dare they just sit there and do nothing?' The government is too tied up in politics and bureaucracy to do anything without ulterior motive. Yes, we live in a system where the government is supposed to represent the people and yes, we pay them our money and trust them with it. But that does not mean it is a good idea to sit back and 'let someone else do it'. The question I ask myself is am I truly awake in the world? What am I contributing by my thoughts, words and deeds? I'm not always happy with my answers, but I keep practising. It's the people who have always held the real power, never 'the government'.
